  1. I had gallbladder issues 6 months after surgery which was causing liver problems apparently gallbladder issues are so common after WLS they should remove the gallbladder the same time as the WLS

    I lied

I told the people that I felt comfortable knowing prior to the surgery and they were very supportive and seeing my results others have followed me down the surgery path, as far as others go when asked how I've lost so much weight I tell them diet and exercise which is not a lie, the surgery doesn't make me get up at 5:00am every morning to go to the gym and the surgery may restrict how much I can eat but it doesn't do the shopping for me.
  3. I lost 180lbs in 6 months starting weight 418.8lbs current weight 224.8lbs 7 months post op
  4. I lost 180lbs in 6 months
  5. I'm 7 months out from my sleeve surgery and I'm doing great, almost at my goal weight but now I'm having some side affects such as Gallstones and a vitamin B12 deficiency I had my first gallbladder attack on Christmas Day atleast the emergency room was pretty empty so I got seen fairly quickly my Doctor and Surgeon both said that this was very common and about 50% of all weight loss patients suffer from these issues i now have to have my Gallbladder removed which is happening in 2 weeks and I'm also getting weekly vitamin B12 injections just wondering if anyone was informed about this side affect prior to surgery because I know I wasn't, I don't regret the surgery in anyway but it would have been nice to know about
  6. Congratulations, keep up the great work
  7. I'm 5 months post op and still relying on ground meat steak and chicken I can only eat a few bites and I'm done
  8. I was told I'd lose 60kg/130lbs over 12 to 18 months I'm 5 months post op and down 80kg/176lbs and still losing regularly i think how much you lose comes down to your own efforts, diet and exercise
  9. Fantastic results, keep it up, you look great
  10. I've lost almost 75kgs and I still see myself as I did when I was 190kgs, I still go straight to the fatty fashion section of stores when I need to buy new clothes even though I look like I'm wearing a tent because my clothes are way too big it's not until I do a side by side comparison that I see the difference I never knew how much of a mental game this would be, I never thought of myself as a morbidly obese person when I was (obvious denial) but now I can't get that out of my head I get really uncomfortable with compliments too Im also considering going to counselling
