@sestewart17 I feel a little better knowing it’s not all roses for everyone. I have yet to get down 8oz of water. Don’t want to become dehydrated that’s what worries me.

@sestewart17 the just let me leave the hospital today so better i guess. Still having issues keeping cold drinks down. Not hungry at all. It’s hard forcing myself to eat when I don’t really want too. Walking has gotten much better. Starting to worry that this surgery wasn’t for me. How was your experience?

Hi All. Had my surgery Monday morning. Boy was I not prepared for the pain. I’ve been crying my butt of since yesterday. Took a walk to push myself and almost passed out. 😵 just started feeling better out of no where. Can’t keep anything cold down at all. I know it will get better though.

Monday is the day for lost of us🤗. Anybody feeling weak like I am. I have no energy at all. 13 days on this liquid protein diet is no joke. Tomorrow will be the last day before surgery. Then two more weeks after surgery 🤦🏽‍♀️. I’m still excited about this process but very very tired.

@ChellNCit’s tough. I started on July 30th. Went from drinking 5 protein shakes to 3 just upped the amount of whey protein I put in my water bottles. By day 2 I had a bad headache. I can eat only green veggies but as many as I want. Day 3-4 had me running to the bathroom. It gets better. I feel pretty good now. Drink lots of water. Snack on sugar free popsicles. Before you know it it will be surgery time.

Congratulations to everyone that has moved to the losers bench. Those of you that are feeling good that is terrific. I am super🤗Happy for You. To those not feeling so good just take it one day at a time you will get there. Everyone’s healing process is different. You guys are troopers.💪🏽 It will get better this I know. Hopefully sooner rather then later. Just keep in my the end results.

@KRush88 weight watchers is the one I have. 😆 It’s 3 years old it’s been sitting in my closet for a long time. Maybe it’s broken. Gives me a different number every time.

Anyone know of A good brand for a scale? It would be nice to have an accurate one during this process. Though I don’t really weigh myself.

If my hunk of junk scale I have at home is correct I have lost 13 to 15 pounds. Stepped on it 3 times got 3 different numbers. Which would make me down a total of 30 pounds before surgery with 5 day to go. I get to eat green veggies though, so it’s not all liquid. Haven’t had more then 300 calories all week. Protein shakes aren’t really shakes I mix isolate whey protein with water only. If I could get to 40pounds down before surgery I swear I will do a somersault. Haha 😆 not really.

@ZeroCool I think I know how you feel. I get to eat green veggies though. I was told as many as I want but they send me to the bathroom😆. You can do it though. We will get there soon.

Heavier!!😲 I pray that won’t be the case for me. Lord I can’t handle them being any heavier. Thank you @Bryn910 hopefully you have good luck with getting it back to normal.

So my cycles are pretty heavy which causes an Iron-deficiency for me. So I’m already going to be on my cycle when I go in for surgery. “SUCKS *SS” I was told by my surgeon that I may get my cycle again. Which means twice in one month. Oh HELL NO! Was anyone else told this?? Or if you had surgery did this happen to you. I would like to know how common it is. 😭☹️😤

@ ZeroCool how is the liquid diet going for you? I’m 9 days in with 5 days to go. Feeling pretty good. I think my body forgot about the hunger if that’s possible.

Wait?? Why would anyone wait! ☺️ J/K I say once the pain stops the fun starts. I have two children both born by cesarean and boy did I not wait 6 weeks. Bad bad me 😂

$50 for 270 pills of calcium.- 3 months supply BariatricAdvantage brand- Bariatric store $20 for 90 pills of multivitamin- 2months supply flintsone brand- walmart $80 nectar why protein -2 months supply - Bariatric store Im already on iron pills. I plan to just continue with those and it’s about $6 for a 3 month supply got it at Walmart spring valley brand

@nrbradley0 make the choice based off what’s best for you. I chose the sleeve like @GreenTealael for the same reasons. Read up on both I hear you lose more with the bypass but to me it’s a more serious surgery. Your surgeon didn’t give you something comparing the two. I can upload a copy of what I was given if you like.

This may be TMI so, let me say sorry up front. Day Five of this liquid protein and green veggies diet. Is anyone else on the liquid green veggies diet having some serious diarrhea?? Woke up in the middle of the night running to the bathroom and it’s all green. 😂 ewww. Then before I took my kids to camp again. I can’t keep eating green veggies if this is gonna keep happening. I will be stuck at home all weekend. It’s so uncomfortable using work bathrooms. I don’t use public bathrooms at all. I always hold it until I get home. However with what’s going on now, not sure I will be able to hold it. 🤦🏽‍♀️ ugh 😠 annoyed that I still have a 8 days to go.

@Tdubs1980 you get to eat meat!? Your one of the lucky ones. I’ve only been able to eat non starchy veggies. It’s I mind thing you know. I had a headache the first two days f the pre op diet. Being nervous is normal especially with surgery. You will do fine though. Just keep in mind how much healthy you will be or how good you willl look in a few month.
