  1. I’ve been struck you 2 weeks too. It’s awful
  2. I’m 6 weeks post op today. I’ve lost weight but feel like I should’ve lost more considering I eat so little. I was wondering how much others have lost up to this point and even 3...6...9...12 months etc. I KNOW it’s not the same for everyone AND they people who are bigger/smaller lose weight at different paces. I’m just looking for motivation to look forward to eventually losing more. Thanks in advance!

    I just need to vent...

I had my surgery 6/25 too! And let me tell you I regret it most days. I know that’s probably not the positive reply you wanted to hear but it’s real. I think being depressed for a little while is common after the surgery. If you think about it you’re trying to change a lifetime of habits very quickly and it’s a shock to the system. I haven’t lost anywhere close to the weight you have (only 20lbs) and you can’t tell which is super frustrating. With that being said tho it takes time to adjust (I’m hoping). Both my sister and father had the surgery and they are both happy. Keep your head you, you definitely aren’t alone in the struggle.

    I miss bread

Thanks for the ideas. No I haven’t tried refried beans. As for sour cream hot sauce and cheese those aren’t allowed on my food list 🙄. I’ve only dont cream of mushroom soup and broth with chicken. Either are puréed which makes it easier to tolerate. This ricotta and peach thing sounds great, I’ll definitely be tried that! Thank you all for the idea. Greatly appreciated.
  6. I’m struggling with this diet terribly. I’m 16 days post op so I’m suppose to only eat puréed food. I can’t do it. In fact a big part of me regrets doing the gastric bypass altogether. I know that’ll probably change once I start losing the weight but I miss bread. I haven’t puréed anything and I seem to be dealing with it fine. I’m hungry coming evening and I don’t seem to get that full feeling. Struggle hopeless. Any advice encouraged. Thx!

    June RNY buddies?

I’m june 25th too! Extremely nervous and sometimes second guessing doing it. I have a pre op June 11th. I asked what the pre surgery diet was...they said liquid diet the day before. Which makes me nervous reading everyone’s comments on here because it seems it’s different for you.
