  1. Thanks everyone ❤️ @hannahRB thank you so much, and congratulations on starting your journey! You’re going to smash it! I can’t help you on the medical side but it you need any emotional support feel free to reach out! It’s a turbulent time but so worth it. The two weeks before my op was the hardest, but it’s only a couple of weeks until the rest of your life xxx
  2. Thank you all! My exercise routine is pretty basic! I do 45 minutes 5 days a week. 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weight training. I am pretty active outside of the gym too. I do a lot of walking and running around the place but honestly, in my experience exercise hasn’t played a massive part in actually losing weight it just helps with maintenance and overall health
  3. It will fly in! What a great way to start the year xx
  4. @frust8 you are dynamite now! And every pound you lose is just a step closer to being healthier!

  8. Hello all! I am 5 months out and a 100lbs down. I am honestly so grateful that I got the opportunity to have this operation done. I don’t miss my old life style at all, I now love the gym, I love my lean protein and veggie meals, I love being able to shop anywhere without worrying about if they’ll carry my size, I love not worrying about taking up too much space on public transport, I love running about everywhere and not feeling the excess weight on my knees and feet. Have I had bad days?? Of course! One day I ate an entire block of brie, another day I ate a slice of pizza. But the difference is now I don’t let my mistakes define. One bad meal isn’t going to get me back where I started. One bad meal isn’t the end of my journey. I accept it, and move on. Maybe i’ll move around even more the next day. I have another 30lbs to go until I hit my goal weight, I will never ever ever be skinny, because i’m naturally curvy and you know what? That’s ok. I own these curves and i’m healthy and curvy! Super tired after work outs

Well, I was active in my late teens and early twenties but then went I started gaining weight everything halted, so I was not active at all in the 4/5 years (I’m 26 now). I work out 7 days a week and try for an hour. It was going great, it’s only in the last couple of weeks I can’t manage to do the full hour 🤦🏻‍♀️. Yeah you’re def right on the protein, how do you get so much in? Like I have a shake for breakfast, then lean meat and veggies for lunch and some sort of white fish for dinner with again veggies. I am allowed carbs but with barely getting the protein in, I don’t want to waste my little space on food I don’t actually need? Do you supplement?

    Super tired after work outs

Thanks guys! Carbs are actually a part of my plan, good carbs like @bluecrush suggested! I am lucky and can eat wholemeal products on my plan. That’s a great idea on the oats and protein powder! I’ll try that tomorrow morning. I do, do quite intense workouts at the gym so maybe I’m going at it a little too hard for what I’m taking in! 💪🏻

    Super tired after work outs

Well don’t on the protein! I seriously struggle with it! But hey we’re both still early days I guess!
  12. Hi all! I’m currently coming up to my 4 month post op mark and I’ve been working out pretty much every day but lately I’ve been getting super super super tired. Not being able to finish a full hour workout I’m maxing out at 35 mins. My hair is also falling out like crazy. I’m up to between 600-800 cals a day. I’m good with liquids getting between 2-3 liters of water per day. Protein could be better, I’m averaging between 40-70 grams of protein a day. I know I need to be better but I’m doing the best I can with it ,including supplementing with shakes and focusing on protein rich foods. I’m struggling because of the small quantities I can eat so I’m getting 25g of protein from my shake and the other 20-30g from the small meals. My losses have been good, averaging about 4lbs a week. I can tolerate most food, it’s just this tiredness is stressing me out! Anyone experience this? Or better yet, know how to stop it? HW:280 CW:206 GW: 160
  13. Oh sorry guys stats are SW: 289/90 CW: 212 GW: Unsure? I’ll know when I get there ❤️
  14. Thanks a million @Kygirl! Still a way to go! But we’ll get there 💪🏻. @TexasMommy I didn’t even think of gallbladder the pain is coming and going! I didn’t have my gallbladder. The pain has been coming and going in waves. And my bowels have seem to have gotten the message! I’ve been pooping everyday, in shock but in a happy way!

    Dark Urine

It’s not a good pretext to set, sugar laden beverages are not going to help with Weight loss no matter what the quantity is. A 20 ounce serving of Gatorade has 36 grams of sugar. If you’re drinking the water you’re supposed to be drinking 2.5 liters mixing that with sugar. You’re going to get a blood sugar spike and then a low which results in you eating more thus not losing as much as you could be. It’s your choice at the end of the day but no dietician or Surgeon would say adding sugar to your drinks is setting you up for long term success.
