  1. I am two months post op. I dropped a good amount of weight the first few weeks, but now it has slowed. I am only losing 1-2 pounds a week. Is this normal? And, has anyone else gone through this? Thank you!
  2. My nutrishionist told me they recommend counting carbs and fats after a year post op. I am 2 months post. Has anyone else been told this as well? If not what do you do carb wise daily? I am so worried to eat wrong and mess up my progress. I panic evertime I see a seasoning, tomato sauce or anything with carbs. Also, when did you begin exercising? Thank you all!

Rudedog89 how are you feeling? Hope all is well!
  4. I am very new to the gastric sleeve and I am curious about a few things. I would appreciate any help or answers! 1) Can you ever eat Normally again as far as if you want a cheese steak or cake? In small portions like at Christmas? Or a family outing? 2)Do you have to chew your food to a puree for the rest of your life? 3)Is it normal to not feel restrictions on liquids? 4)Will I ever be able to eat a decent amount when I go out to eat with my family or be able to not take a long time to eat? 5)Is it safe living a full life on low calories? These are just a few things I am curious about. Thank you!

I was the same way. Any liquids came right back up! I almost had to stay an extra day, but thankfully I got released! Congratulations on your sleeve! Once that gas goes away you will feel so much better!
  7. I had my sleeve done June 27th, 2018! I am beyond excited! Dr. Boorse along with Lehigh Valley Bariatrics helped me to this point! They are both wonderful! I am so excited to start a new chapter! Anyone else have surgery in June? So far the recovery isn't too bad. Pretty sore still, but definitely improving! The first day was miserable dealing with the gas they pump you with! Lol! If anyone has any questions or if I can be a help/support person to anyone feel free to reach out! I'm looking for fellow sleever friends!
  8. Yes my weight loss clinic only has you do a two week diet which includes some solid food. It's not the worst of diets but I slipped up.
  9. So today I cheated and had a chicken cheese steak on my pre op diet. Surgery is Wednesday and I feel terrible and also worried that my liver will be too big to complete the surgery. Is it common for surgeons to close you up and not do the surgery? I am going to stay strict the next three days. My pre op diet is... Protein shake, protein bar, protein shake, protein bar, dinner of chicken veggies and tiny starch, protein shake.

    Some questions/concerns

Thank you all very much! I really appreciate it!
  11. I have four days until my surgery and I am starving on this pre op diet! I so badly want to just have one more yummy meal, but I am afraid it will enlarge my liver somehow and mess up surgery. Has anyone here not followed their pre op diet and or cheated? I am committed and know I have to commit for life after the surgery. Anyone feel the same? Thanks! Any positive post op stuff would be appreciated! Lastly, did anyone experience hunger post op?
  12. I have some questions and concerns that I am hoping for help with! 1) Will I ever be able to eat normal things like everyone else down the road at some point? With restriction of course? For some reason this is worrying me as my surgery date approaches. 2) Will I be starving or feel starving after the surgery? 3) Will I be able to take all of my medications still? Prozac, bp, uric acid pills? 4) Is it unsafe to live on such low calories? Maybe, I am just stressed because of the surgery being so close. Thank you everyone for the help!
