Love my bypass, would do it again in a heartbeat. Fixed my reflux. Additionally, it’s really easy to control dumping. Don’t eat high fat or high sugar foods and you’re good

Yeah! I Attended a party during pre-op too. It was so difficult but I felt empowered afterward! You did awesome, congrats

Hi July folks, just wanted to pop in and say I had my bypass July 10, 2018 so I’m approaching 2 years! I’ve lost 130+ lbs and I’m living my best life! You are all starting on an amazing journey!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

1. Yes, but it’s really not a big deal unless you have trouble swallowing pills.
2. Yes, for a bit
3. Dumping for me is 💩 if I’ve eaten something with too much sugar. Rarely happens though bc I don’t really like the taste of sweets anymore
4. I don’t count my chews, it’s second nature now. But at the beginning I did
5. I can, but I don’t
6. Maybe 6 weeks
7. Approx 30 lbs
8. Is not about “being allowed” you are an adult and can eat whatever you want. There’s certain foods/textures I don’t like anymore, certain foods I can’t tolerate and certain foods I choose not to eat -
I loved my team, but honestly my surgeon was an ass. I met him once, for about 10 mins before my surgery day. However his abilities as a surgeon came highly recommended so I went with that. In retrospect it would have been nice to have had a better relationship with him, but I was more concerned with his surgical skills 🤣

What about an at home workout like beach body? Plus if you’re home (like I am) take that time to cook some great new recipes

None of us thought we were “that big” you get used to seeing yourself a certain way. You need to have this surgery, but you also need to explore some therapy.

Never told people outside my family and no one ever commented on my portions. They knew I was trying to lose weight (which I was) so everyone was actually really supportive “let’s order from ___ instead of pizza so Jenn can eat with us”
