toodlerue got a reaction from LilaNicole20 in Bullying post op
It felt like high school bullying because they probably were in high school!!
Try to brush it off. You are doing great & you will be down in the low 200’s before you know it!
But just wait until you have lost a bunch of weight! It is so hard not to tell someone that was the same size as you once were that they should have weight loss surgery!
Everyone is fighting their own battle that no one else can see.

toodlerue got a reaction from Erin18 in How much food do you eat after
I’m 4 years out. At home I still weigh my food. At dinner I eat around 1-1.5oz veggies & the rest is Protein. The whole meal is 3 -3.5 oz. If I eat more then that I get too full & I’m uncomfortable for a while. When we eat out I eat a little less then 1/2 of the meal, my husband & I usually share an entry. If I’m eating out with a friend I ask if I can order something on the kid’s menu.
At about 1.5 years out I started eating over 4 oz & I put back on 30 pounds! I used The Fast Metabolism Diet & I did great & I actually got to my goal weight!

toodlerue got a reaction from kcuster83 in How people around us eat
You are so too funny!
The speed & the bite sizes people take is amazing!
One trick I learned in my many years of doing diet plans is to put my fork down between bites. This helps you to eat slower. I have had wait staff ask if I’m done because my fork is laying on my plate & not in my hand.

toodlerue got a reaction from Nicki100 in Medical ID Bracelet?
I have one for medication allergies. I’m not able to add anything else because I’m out of room!
I bought the Bracelet from someone on Etsy years ago. They normally made bracelets & I told her what I needed. Now that I’ve lost so much weight I can slip it off!

toodlerue got a reaction from fourmonthspreop in Trying to eat more veggies- 3 months post op
Ranch Dressing🤣In a few months you will be able to have a salad. I always put spinach in mine when I'm at home.
It is really hard to fit veggies in & raw veggies are harder for our tiny tummies to digest. I try to do at least 1 oz with my dinner, then I have 2-2.5 oz of Protein. It just seems so wierd to have 2 small portions on my plate, but that's all I can do. I know I'm not getting enough veggies. I have berries with my oatmeal in the mornings & then fruit before I go to bed. Fruit is much easier for me because I can take an apple with me in the car when I'm out & about.
This is why it's so important to take a multi vitamin!

toodlerue got a reaction from TruNorth in Flight home 5 days after surgery
I would not have been able to do that especially if I was by myself.
Most of my pain after abdominal surgery is the pain in the left shoulder from the gas used to inflate your stomach. Mine is always almost unbearable for 3 weeks after any surgery.
But every one is different so no one here really has the answer for you, we can just share our own experience with you.

toodlerue reacted to oldandtired in Alcohol 3 weeks post sleeve op.
Wow, so many reasons that you shouldn't. I haven't, 12 weeks post op. First, you don't know how your new tummy will react. Do you really want to have a dumping "event," or be sick as a dog? I have heard that liquor has a greater effect after, so you could end up face first in the punch bowl-God forbid all three. I wouldn't. If they know about your surgery, and they are your friends, they will be supportive. Also, social pressure should not figure into this. Just saying.

I made a roast in the crockpot for my family. I took a little bit a roast a little bit of potatoes and a little bit of carrots and blended it all up and it was pretty darn good!
Cream Soups are OK you can just pick out the two pieces of chicken or the three mushrooms that are in the can😹🤦♀️
There’s always mashed potatoes😋 with gravy!
I got unflavored Protein Powder and added it to a lot of things.
