    H. Pylori Question

I tested positive also for H pylori and it cleared up after I took the antibiotics for 2 wks. I didn’t have any symptoms either. They told me H pylori is pretty common and a lot of people have it and don’t know it. You should be fine. Wishing you the best of luck.

    Things are moving along

Just my luck! So much for everything going smooth. Yeah, I was told it could take a couple of attempts to get rid of. I’m just praying it will go away first attempt. Wish me luck guys please. [emoji17]
  3. I’m so happy and relieved, saw the psychologist on Friday and I passed!! I was so nervous and didn’t know what to expect but once I met her I was fine. She made me feel comfortable. So, things are moving along for me. I see the nutritionist on may 9th. Has anyone heard of H-pylori? Apparently I tested positive for that. Sucks! I’ve been on antibiotics for it and I have to test again through the stool. Not looking forward to that part. I was hoping everything would go smooth but I’m guessing this might slow down my surgery date. I’m so ready to have surgery. I hate waiting. I’m an impatient person. Anyway, hoping to get a surgery date soon. [emoji51]

    Can’t make a decision

Hi! So the DS is different than the SADI or SIPS or single loop DS? I’m kinda confused. I really think the DS might be a go for me. I’m just scared about the diarrhea and smelly gas. Do you know if that goes away or is that forever? That’s the only thing that’s giving me second thoughts. Please help. Thank you. [emoji51]

    Can’t make a decision

Hi there! I Was trying to figure out how to reply and post something. This is a little different than facebook. Lol! I tried to reply to you a little while ago hope im doing this right. Anyway, on the duodenal switch im really worried about the stomach issues you might get. I read you might get really loose stools and foul gas. I already have gas mostly at night. Sorry, thats embarrassing. I just dont want to have bathroom issues. Other than that the DS sounds good. Sent from my LG-M322 using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. So, im undecided which surgery I should do gastric sleeve or duodenal switch. I had done a lot of research on the sleeve even bought a huge book on the sleeve almost done reading it all but now I kinda want the DS. At my consultation they did recommend the DS for me because I’m diabetic. I’m just so scared cause it is more invasive. The sleeve isn’t. Also, with the DS your less likely to gain your weight back. So that sounds good to me. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

    Weight loss

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. Right now I’m just doing a lot of research on the gastric sleeve. Reading books and you tube videos they are a lot of help and very interesting. I’m pretty much ready for the surgery. I’m a soda and sweets person I know it’s going to KILL me to give that up. But it will be so worth it. I’m tired of being BIG. I’m 5’3 and my weight is 220. Would like to be 130 or 140. My dream weight! [emoji51]
  9. Im in the early stages of the sleeve. Just did my lab work today. I dont have a set date yet for my sugery but it could be possibly in June. So excited and nervous!! [emoji3] Sent from my LG-M322 using BariatricPal mobile app
