    July 20th Surgery

Thank you Lisa K... Did you try Gas X?
  3. Getting closer to the date and started my clear liquid diet already. I've read through alot of the hospital packing comments and think I'm over packed. I hope this is a smooth process. Any pointers on the gas pain??

    July surgery

I'm July 20th... Just around the corner. Add CA to the state count!
  5. Just got my surgery date of July 20th.. Reality if it hasn't set in yet. When does it get real? What should I expect pre-operatively? I read surgery can lead to hair loss? Maybe I should spend a week reading everyone's posts and think about this...
  6. That's awesome.. Keep it up. I just got my surgery date. July 20.. Super excited. We can definitely exchange journey stories
  7. Just got approved for gastric sleeve and no need to take classes. Will find out my date tomorrow. Only took insurance 4 days for approval. Are most dates being scheduled 4-6 weeks out from approval? Did some of you get scheduled less than that?

    emotions all over the place

This is the perfect place to release.. We are all here to support you. But on the back side you should see your therapist or just pray. God will give you the strength. I always tell people in time of pain, confusion and anger. This is only temporary.. All of it will pass and you will find the strength and joy to smile and laugh again.
  12. Hi.. I'm going to have to agree with allwet. You can't change the insecurities of a man. He probably feels you'll leave him when you drop weight and look even more beautiful than now. Try and involve him a little more. If he's not overweight then ask him for tips on work out routines. If your marriage is going to work it's a team effort not just you do what makes him happy. If that doesn't work then keep moving forward. You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. Love yourself enough to say this is my health, my well being and he said for better or worse, sickness and health. Make sure you have strong support post surgery because I've heard it will be an emotional battle in itself. Good luck and God bless
  13. I have never been so anxious about anything. My last visit to surgeons office I was told not to lose any more wt. Like wtf?? Isn't this the whole purpose, but before my financial counselor could respond it clicked.. Oh wait... My BMI may not qualify me. Got it.. So the struggle lately has been maintaining my weight. I've done keto diet for 30 days and lost 17 lbs. I have another 80lbs to go. I'm currently at 235 and now apparently I'm 5'4 and not 5'5 anymore. ☹️ I'm a bit nervous that the insurance will have me do these classes and then I won't qualify for the surgery. Everything else had failed for me with dieting. I don't do much exercise because I'm in tons of pain from knees and hips. Forgot to mention had a total hysterectomy and not on hormone replacement which can cause early osteoporosis. I'm only 40 and about to be a "Glamma". I need the strength and prayers. Anyone have this issue at all?
