    Maintenance : 5'2" / 1.25 yr PO Sleeve / 116.0 lbs
    ----------------------------------------

8+. Hours. Uninterrupted. sleep. *drops mic*
Oh, what a difference sleep makes. I honestly feel better this morning than I have been in about 2 weeks.
I think the fact that I only had 1 coffee/caffeine product for the entire day helped. But also maybe the fact that I was pretty tipsy when we got home from dinner was also a factor. Not ideal, given my self-diagnosed increasing fondness of alcohol, but I'll take it...this time.

And, as if the universe were giving me a symbolic high five, its a clear-skied, sun-shiny day today with a balmy temp of 1°C ☀️

(Yeah, yeah, I know 1°C is c-c-c-c-old for many of you, but its a FEBRUARY morning in Toronto, people. This is WARM! Almost t-shirt weather, lol)

    ----------------------------------------

    9:00am - coffee w/ stevia

    6:00pm to 9:30pm -

    • 2 tbsp foie gras
    • 6 oysters + 1 tbsp seafood sauce + 1 tbsp horseradish

    • 1.5 oz smoked black cod + 1/4 cup sauteed spinach (w/ capers and smoked bacon)
    • 3 glasses red wine
    • 2oz calvados (apple brandy)

    ---------------------------------------

    Totals: 872 cals - 31g Protein 34g NET carbs - 36g fat

    1 month + Update:

Life is progressing along, some days it like I never had surgery other days a sneeze leaves me incapacitated 😳

Belly button is coming along better now. My Primary swapped it for kicks and giggles to run a culture because she is that thorough. Turned out positive for an infection... no doubt from my inability to keep the area dry during showering.

No problem, messaged my surgeon to keep him in the loop and set up a follow up visit some time soon. Received a rx for antibiotics and I'm using a wound wash after I shower to clean the area as well as bacitracin. I am so glad I have a surgeon and primary who are consistently accessible.

Current weight today is 152 but 2 days ago ot was 162 because of Water retention and swelling 😳 this is exactly why you cant always trust the scale. I'm sure ill be something else tomorrow. Sadly with the Water weight/ swelling I developed really nice curves and now they're gone again 😭

Bathing suit pics below (this suit didn't accommodate my breast pre surgery but now its slightly loose)

Bathing suits and wine bottles - my kinda party! You look amazing, girl! Even a little deflated!

  3. I don't think you'll find anyone on the forum who not only struggles to make good choices consistently, but also to accept that you can make a bad choice, forgive yourself and move on. This is the nature of the beast. It is really difficult to try to stay on very low calorie intake before your surgery. I'd focus more on high-quality choices, maybe trying out high-protein recipes, getting in more Water, etc. Instill those habits now. The drop in calories will happen naturally after the surgery. One warning - do NOT get in the habit of Protein Shakes now or you will be sooooo burned out by the time you actually need them! Best of luck to you!

For my age - I just opted for Excess skin removal. Surgeon felt I had a pretty nice tight abdomen underneath - as I did exercise regularly when very heavy. Maybe that was a helpful silver lining to this step?

I'm asking because I'm 60, and I want to be realistic. However, I've had 4 kids, including 15.5 pound twins (total weight)! My belly muscles have been stretched to h3ll and back! And if I go to the trouble of plastics, I'd like it to be worth it.

High profile meetings next week and I'm struggling with hiding both my boobs and my belly :(

I don't think anyone but you will notice your "problem" areas. You look fantastic and that's all they'll notice!
