I have a date for May 7th! Super excited but also scared. I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder, but I am going to push through, because I need this!

Sleeveduk96, it's hard to change but you have to be kind to yourself. Turn your back on previous poor eating days and start fresh. I have often eaten out of boredom and stress, so this has been difficult for me (just the eating plan prior to surgery), so hoping to feel "full" after surgery. I feel you on the Nando's though...I hit that every time I'm in the UK.

I tend lose first in my upper abdomen. The bottom half is already a hanging mess so will likely only get flatter over time. I have the turkey neck, arm wings, and the craziest back hips. They stick out so far I could balance a cup on them. It'd be cute if it were my butt, but I know from my mom, grandma and sister that I too, am a member of the flat ass club. Will be interesting to see how I look over time after my sleeve.

Kahkeetsee got a reaction from Orchids&Dragons in Favorite things you can do now that you couldn't before, or things you're looking forward to doing?
Being able to walk around when traveling is high on my list. 3 years ago I almost passed out in front of Buckingham Palace when I walked there from the bus stop. Last year when I went, I only went places accessible by the scooters I could rent on the high street. I'm 55 and have been told I don't look my age, but no hot guy is going to approach someone on a scooter, and I would really like to date while in the UK. [emoji16]

And another thing clothes related... I want to be able to buy all those super geeky cute t-shirts for my fandoms, and NOT have to buy the boxy men's versions because they don't make the nice girly ones in my size.

You should see the dietitian for diet advice, and a therapist to help understand the reasons for your lack of compliance with a healthy post surgical diet.
Surgery doesn't work without the lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes can be sabotaged by emotional issues.
You need to address your diet in a meaningful way. Your choices are setting you up for problems.

Kahkeetsee reacted to Redo2017 in Nine Months Post-Op Gastric Sleeve
Today marks 9 months post op for me. Down 113 pounds from high weight and 98 pounds from surgery weight. Weighed in at 153.9 pounds this morning and finally at a normal BMI. This process has been a gift and I cannot express how much better I feel. No more achy joints or sleep apnea. I feel good about the way I look for the first time in a long time. I am still learning to moderate as I introduce some limited sweets and whole grains into my diet. I’m hoping to drop another 10 pounds and aim to maintain my weight under 150. For those of you just starting your journeys, stick to your doctor’s plans and you will be amazed by the results! I was very worried about long term success and I still fear backslides, but I feel more confident about long term success with each passing day. Stay strong in this fight, everyone! You can do it!

Kahkeetsee reacted to Creekimp13 in Increased Sex Drive, better orgasms?
This is a side effect of surgery I haven't heard discussed...but it's definitely something that has occurred for me...so wanted to talk about it with anyone who is willing.
Don't mean to be graphic here...but I don't think it's just the extra confidence and improved body image that comes with weight loss. (in truth...there's a lot that's lookin a little saggy and comical these days...so there's a mixed bag of physical confidence.....and I've always had a great sex life with my hubby)
No, what I'm talking about....is actual sex drive. Biochemical physical capacity.
Not just more willingness to have or pursue sex....but more sensation. A deeper more spectacular orgasm. Does that make sense?
I mean...they do kinda wind down a little as you get older. Still great...but not like when you were a kid.
But lately, I feel like I'm revisiting that intensity.......from when we were young and crazy horny and an orgasm felt like a full sky grand finale of fireworks instead of a medium sized rocket and a couple of roman candles sputtering away at the end.
The big ones are back. Layers of Kaboom so loud you feel them and the whole sky lights up, explodes..and twinkles.
Honestly not meaning to write a sensational goofy post here.
This is just a curious observation, and I'd like to know if other people are experiencing this?
Have your orgasms gotten extra spectacular lately?

This isn't about your WLS, this is about you being married to an a**hole.
While you are undergoing this physical transformation, consider transforming other parts of your life as well. You're accepting and making excuses for someone being malicious and calling you names. People who know their self worth don't put up with that behavior.

I haven't told anyone nor do I plan to. Family was a large part of the reason I backed out of surgery 4 years ago. They all acted as if they had arrived for my wake. So, my adult children, sisters and mother will not be told, nor friends.
