  1. 5 days after surgery I was walking 5k slowly with my dog, 2 weeks after surgery was clear for the gym only slow cardio training, 1 month after surgery I was clear to start doing a little low weight training nothing that envolved using my abdomen for strength , 3 months after surgery I was completly cleared but I strongly recommend talking to your Dr before trying any of it
  2. It is possible, just follow your Dr diet plan and do plenty of exercise as much as your body can handle and always remember to drink your proteins and vitamins
  3. For me it was 6 month I lost 120 pounds, I’m going to the gym 5 times a week also I practice jūjutsu 3 times a week so it was really fast now I’m trying not to lose anymore weight which I never thought It would be posible keep eating right and go to the gym regularly you’ll get to your goal in no time

    Exercise after Surgery

i started walking immediately after surgery, short walks tried pushing myself more and more each day, on my third day i got a dog which helped me to walk more, i was walking 5 km daily, 2 weeks post surgery i was cleared to do some light weights nothing that made me push or use my stomach, so i was doing my cardio and the weights talk to your Dr. every single one has a different handbook. im 6 month post op and im down 121 lbs im already below my goal so now im trying to lift more weights

    Sleeve vs Gastric Bypass

i went to my Dr. thing about Gastric Bypass he told me it wasn't necessary that the sleeve would do the work with less complications and to be honest its the best decision i`ve made my only complain is why i didn't do it sooner, today i`m 6 months and 2 days post op and i`ve lost 121 pounds since the day of surgery i started out at 300 lbs and i`m proud to say i weight 179 pounds i have a Dr appointment on Monday because i already lost the amount i wanted to lose and then some, my advise for you is go for it! do the works follow your Dr direction do lots of exercise and welcome your new and healthy life.
  7. Today is my 6 month anniversary i started my journey at 300 lbs I’ve lost 119 pounds since weight loss surgery this is great if I would have known that this would change my life I would have done it years ago but for those of you who started this journey before me I have a question how do I stop? My first goal was 200 lbs then I thought might as well go down to 190 lbs since some friends warned me about the rebound after I got there I thought 185 is a good number but I didn’t want 1 pound less I even started minimizing cardio training and doing more weight training but I practice Jujutsu as well and to make this story short I’m now 181 lbs I feel healthy my cardiologist took away my meds but some family and friends are telling me to not lose anymore
  8. Thx, Dexa body analysis is not available in my country, i started lifting more weights and plan to have a personal trainer for the next 3 months as for calories im consuming around 800-1000 calories a day but since i`m doing so much exercise, i think i have to consume more, i have an appointment with my nutritionist on Monday. i agree with you we don`t see ourselves accurately when i see my before pics i don`t remember seeing me that fat lol

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Got sleeved on 3/5 I’ve lost 109 pounds been going to the gym 4 times a week and practicing jujutsu 3 times a week been following my diet to the letter really happy with the result I’m 6 pounds from the goal which I hope to get there before September
  13. MiltonP

    Was it worth it?

Had my sleeve on March 5 I’ve lost 109 pounds so far I’m 6 pounds from my goal but as letsgetgoing2018 said this is just a tool you need to follow your Dr diet and work your ass off in the gym also you need to understand they operate on your stomach not you brain so at first you’ll still feel the hunger which is not really there just power through it and in no time you’ll be a whole new person
  14. First 3 days are the days of regret after that it gets way better, it’s the best decision I have made and thinking back my only issue is why I didn’t do it sooner. My advice start walking and don’t stop you’ll feel much better, And as soon as you are clear to start the gym 2 weeks from now for cardio do it

This is what I ate today...

Everybody’s different for me it’s a lot of food I’m 2 days shy of 4 months post op and if I’m going to have scrambled eggs it’s usually 2 egg whites or 1 egg for mid morning snack I would have 1 low fat cheese string or some fruit like a banana lunch and dinner seems fine but the Atkins bar seems a bit much also how much exercise are you doing and are you taking your protein after exercising???? Dont lose hope I’m 100 lbs out since surgery i exercise 5 times a week and also do martial arts hope this helps
  20. Hi, I didn’t do pre op diet in fact my Dr told me to eat what I wanted last days I’m 3 month 3 weeks post op and I’ve lost 97 pounds. i think every Dr has their own little book they follow

    Stall question

The fact that you gain weight doesn’t mean that you gain fat you probably gain muscle mass happen to me didn’t understand it until my doc explaining it to me try to measure your fat% and your muscle mass

    Am I going to fail?

Talk to you Dr, every Dr has a different handbook mine doesn’t even let me smell rice, bread or pasta I stay away from sausages only eat meat with the less % of fat and exercise 5 times a week I don’t do sugar or juice and don’t get me started on bbq sauce stay away from all that this is not a race this is a second chance at life remember this surgery is not a magic pill you need to work you A&$ off to get results this is only a vehicle for you to be able to get to where you need to be if you are not hungry don’t eat you are just probably bored get a hobbit get out of the house try to stay busy but again I really think you should talk to a Dr see what his input is and maybe talk to a nutritionist
