I remember when I was on my liquid diet and didn't think I could make it. I had support from family and friends and they kept me motivated. The liquid diet is all mental...you can do it!

I went to the seminar in December and had my first appointment with the surgeon on December 27. My surgery was scheduled at my first appointment. It only took me four months to get everything done.

I suffer from insomnia also. I've tried every OTC medication known to man. My doctor recently prescribed restoril and after one night, I woke up with difficulty breathing (which is a known side affect). Back to square one.

I was afraid to cheat because I didn't want to get to surgery and find out my liver didn't shrink and they'd have to postpone it. Hang in there guys!

What made me change was my one year old grand daughter. One day we were out and she fell asleep and I had to carry her to the car. My back hurt and I was breathing hard. It was a short walk but it seemed like miles. That day I began my research. My only regret is that I didn't have the surgery sooner. I'm grateful for losing 44 pounds and will continue this journey. Everytime I see her, it gives me a reason to not go back to my old habits.

You're doing great! Remember, there are a lot of NSVs (non scale victories) that you should be experiencing. Do you clothes fit better? I didn't think I was losing fast enough until I did a side by side photo and I saw how much smaller my face was. I'm two months post op and have lost 40 pounds and I feel amazing! I"m losing inches and most of my clothes are too big! Hang in there and remember not to compare yourself to anyone else.

What about your NSV (non scale victories). Are your clothes fitting better? Do you have more energy? Don't focus so much on the scale and don't compare your weight loss to others.
