I had my "last supper" because I'd convinced myself that it was the last time I'd have those things. Well I was right and wrong. In December, 2017, i gave up bread, rice, Pasta and potatoes...it was hard because I really loved bread. Im almost six months post op and down 62 pounds. I've had some sweets, but can only have a few bites. Your new sleeve will not hold much. What you're experiencing is normal. Most of us have been there. Trust me, when you start to lose weight, you'll look at foods differently.

Hello everyone. The seminar was last night and my nutritionist said she was so proud of me. I was nervous but once I started speaking, i spoke of my journey. It was awesome afterwards because they all had questions for me. Can't wait to do it again.

All of us have had some type of fears. Turn it around and think of all the positive things this surgery will bring to your life... feeling better, less meds, smaller clothes and overall better health. Im 6.5 months post op and was fearful of Hair loss. Guess what? Not one strand of hair has been lost. Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and meet us on the loser's bench

Before I considered surgery, I was a bona fide shopaholic. I would see things and buy them without trying them on...thinking, yes, I can wear it. So my closet had lots of clothes in various sizes. Well, fast forward to three weeks post op. I look in my closet and start trying on all these clothes that I couldn't wear when I bought them and guess what...THEY FIT! I went from a 1X to a large and I'm beginning to think I could wear a medium. These non scale victories are awesome! The one thing I need to invest in is a good leather belt. I've worn out my old one and there's no more room for another hole

Yes, it's normal. Over time, you'll be able to drink more. What helped me was to drink a few sips every 15 minutes.

Walk, walk and walk. It will help relieve gas. Stick to the diet your surgeon suggests. Buy three ounce disposable cups and use them to get your liquids in post op.

I had something similar. It felt like something (I described it as a piece of flesh) hanging in my throat. The doctors checked and said nothing was there, but I felt it. Four months later, it's finally gone.
