  6. During my pre-op phase, there were always temptations...cookies, cakes, doughnuts, fried chicken and I could go on. I asked four of my friends to each commit to joining me for two days of liquids. They motivated me and it comforted me knowing I wasn't alone. Hang in there guys, you're doing great. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. [emoji4] Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165

    Liquid Diet Starts Now!!!

Mostly, the liquid diet is to shrink your liver for surgery. You don't want to get there and they have difficulty reaching your stomach. When I found this out, it made me not want to cheat. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165

    Liquid Diet Starts Now!!!

The pre op diet is harder than recovering from surgery. It's all mental... hang in there and the outcome will be wonderful. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 219 GW: 165

  16. As soon as you can, begin walking. It will help with the gas pains. Don't compare your weight loss to others, everyone is different. If you can, take Biotene with you to help with dry mouth. Good luck. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 220 GW: 165

    6 week checkup...

Thanks everyone Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 220 GW: 165
  18. So I had my six week checkup yesterday and I've lost a total of 38 pounds from when I first started this journey. He said not to compare my weight loss with anyone else and I'm right on track. I feel great and so happy I finally made the decision to have surgery. Sleeved on April 25, 2018 HW: 258 SW: 238 CW: 221 GW: 165

    Head games

The liquid phase is harder than recovering from surgery. You have to be determined to get through it. It's all mental. When I was on that phase, I kept a bottle of water with me at all times. When the "food" urge hit, I'd take a walk and think about how I'd be able to shop for smaller clothes and how I'd feel without the extra weight. 23. I had my sleeve in April and purchased some things that I no longer have a taste for. Some of the items are Protein shots, Liquid Protein, an extra large bottle of Biotene, etc. I want to pay it forward and send it to whomever needs it. Send me a message if you could use it.
