  1. This has been my go to Breakfast this week. Two hard boiled eggs, half an avocado diced and mixed together in a bowl. I did add in a pinch or two of shredded cheese - I used some Kerrygold Dubliner cheese because that’s what I had already shredded. Spread the mixture on two slices of toasted Sara Lee 45 cal bread, no butter and sprinkle with everything bagel season. Adjust as necessary as the everything bagel can be salty. The mixture egg/avocado mix makes two servings so below toast is half the bowl spread on the toast.  About 200 calories per slice.

OK so I could eat most of that in one sitting these days! There's no way I could stop when you did, but I'd have a break of a few hours (3 approx) before having to eat again.

How long after those three bites of the sandwich and few forkfuls of the greens did you need to eat again OP??

I could eat the entire thing as well and six years post rxy. I was told I could never eat XXX again so when I found out I could I did. I wish I still had that restriction.

I don't know the answer but I'm hopeful I will be able to see it when I look down instead of my belly. Not having morning wood has not been a major issue for me but it has been about more frequent and seems a bit longer before it goes down. I read somewhere that the higher intake of Protein and Vitamins will help. So I think it can be true. Keep healthy.

Try some 70% or greater cocoa dark chocolate. Just one square a night and that morning wood might come back. Works for me. ;)

And for original thread - yup losing weight does wonders for sex life. My wife loves the slender me and it’s added enhancements.

  5. Perfect timing - I made hard boiled eggs tonight and used the bring to boil, put in eggs then ice bath method. The correct way is to do them is like a ford vs chevy debate but to each his own. Anyone tried baking them in a muffin tin? Might try that one.

I took my hard boiled eggs an extra step and after peeling them I put them on the smoker for about 30 minutes about 200* using some pecan wood from our old farm. They are delicious! Tomorrow might try and turn them into deviled eggs but egg salad with the smoke flavor might be good!

  6. Here’s a new one I tried today. Air fryer bagel and egg. I put half a bagel flat side down in an air fryer using parchment paper, cracked an egg in the middle and then put some cheese on top- I used cheddar and mozzarella. Air fry for 5-6 minutes at 180 (my pic is 350 for five minutes which was too hot). Turned out really good! Not something I would eat every day but a very good treat.

For the guys, the dark chocolate with 70 % Cocoa is good for the prostate. ;) one small square a day can help “rejuvenate” your prostate to that of your younger years.  No before and after pictures to post though!

  8. Another option would be to self pay. Most people can qualify for a line of credit and then just lay it back over the next two years. I’ve known three people who did that so they didn’t have to deal with insurance and were able to schedule the surgery within two weeks.

  9. That is awesome @looly! I had to abandon my plans after three weeks as my knees were in pain. I’ve been resting and hoping to try again next week. I went to a running store to get fitted for shoes and they said mine were fine so probably just pain from getting back outside! Well hopefully.... 10k. That is awesome!

  10. I posted in another thread that I am taking this time to challenge myself. I started c25k yesterday and want to run a 5k in the future. After trying to motivate my sales staff I realized I needed it too so I’m challenging myself to come out of this quarantine in better shape! Between trying to run, using a kettlebell, dumbbells, a couple of bands and back to the basics, ie pushups, lunges, walking planks, etc, I’m just trying to stay active. #quarantineweightlosschallenge 😎

I agree turn off the news - control the things you can control and don’t worry about the things you can’t control. This virus will take its course and nothing anyone can do about it and in reality you only have a 3% chance of hospitalization. 97% of the population will be fine!

  11. Sitting at my home computer this morning typing an email to my sales staff, trying to keep them motivated during these very trying and challenging times, I realized I was giving them the advice I need to hear myself. Its been two years since I started this journey and 506 days since my RNY surgery. I'm down 125 pounds and life is flippin fantastic! I have been losing and gaining the same five pounds for five months but I'm ok with that, having a couple of glasses of red wine in the evening is most likely the cause coupled with a lack of any real exercise program - I am active, just not working out - but my life is filled with happiness right now. Fast forward to this morning and it hit me, I'm motivating others but not myself. Today that changes! I laced up my running shoes and started day one of C25K. Running a 5k without stopping has always been a bucket list item and now I am going to do it!

  12. I did throw up a couple times post op but just the foamies, not a full blown exorcist hurling that I was pre op - that is what I fear - dry heaving and the likes. Thanks for the replies. I’m sure one day I’ll get the the flu or something and it will happen just curious what others have been through ahead of me.

  13. Just curious for those post RNY have you thrown up? Preop I was a violent upchucker - bruised my throat once... but 18 months post op had my first almost upchuck. Got the sweats and felt queasy but didn’t pray to the porcelain god. What’s it like post op???

  14. Anyone else have a problem with saggy balls after surgery?? No one told me I’d have to lift them up before sitting down after losing so much weight.....
