  1. I'm allowed to eat a snack or two if I need it, but honestly I'm usually so blah about food now so I'm just trying to get the 3 meals in. I haven't been very good about it yet but the reminders are helping. So many things make me feel uncomfortable now and to get all my liquids in plus meals just isn't working yet. Yesterday I only ate one meal and then had a few almonds before bed. This is a bigger adjustment than I thought it would be, but in a different way! I definitely wasn't expecting my taste buds to change so much.
  2. It looks like everyone is doing great! I haven't weighed myself since the end of March because I found myself obsessing if I didn't lose. I'd constantly think about what I should be doing differently, researching different diets that may help, etc. Finally I had to remind myself that I just had the majority of my stomach removed and that I just need to follow the plan I was given and trust it. I did set reminders for me to eat because I haven't been good about eating 3 meals a day. I've gone down 2 sizes so far but am still resisting getting on that scale even though it calls to me every. single. morning! lol

    Any February Sleevers?

Hi everyone! I was sleeved 2/14 and had my 1 week checkup today. Down 12 lbs and I get to start soft foods. I was looking forward to it but with as much trouble as I'm having getting all my fluids and protein on full liquids, I can't even wrap my mind around getting enough when I'm eating actual food yet! I seem to have to choose either not enough protein but getting all 64 oz in, or adding protein and forcing myself to get at least 48 oz of fluids in a day. I know it'll get easier with time though.
  4. Thanks! My surgeon wanted us to focus on getting all the fluid we can this week instead of protein. Isn't it crazy how different each surgeon's guidelines are? I'm not going to lie, if that's what it feels like to have carbs now I'm kind of happy about it. I don't want to feel it again so it's a great deterrent 😂
  5. I'm 7 days post op and I had the sleeve done. I finally got tired of soup, water, and protein shakes so I made some thin cream of wheat, which is on my list of approved foods for full liquids. I ate 1/2 cup and a few minutes after I was finished I got very lightheaded and had to lay down. It lasted for about 15 minutes. I've heard of it happening with greasy or sweet foods, but it hadn't crossed my mind that cream of wheat might have that effect on me. Has anyone else had that happen or with any food that seemed as though it would be "safe"?
