Those baby's are cute! If I remember right boxers tend to drool. But then again my dogs shed everywhere, so I guess it is always something. I really like Henry's beauty marks and one black ear.

pleasedontjudgeme got a reaction from GreenTealael in 5 weeks post sleeve, stomach ache and nausea
So I screwed up yesterday and had a few bites of things I shouldn't have. Yes I know it was wrong and I don't intend to do it again. About 24 hours ago I sampled some of the "fair food" my husband and sons brought home -- a couple of bites of funnel cake and a couple bites of melted cheese from on top of a slice of pizza. I didn't seem to suffer any ill effects from it last evening, but all day today I have been experiencing nausea and a stomach ache on the front left side of belly.
My question is: Do you think these symptoms have been caused by those illegal foods I ate around 5pm yesterday?
My nausea began around 8am today and my bellyache has been the worst this afternoon. Today I have consumed my Protein Shake and 1/2 cup of 1% cottage cheese.
    Thank you for any advice!

I had my 3 month check up today ( 12 week mark ) . I was hoping to be at 70 lbs loss. I am at 73 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited. Also Nutritionist said ok to eat some summer melon, berries, Tomato , cucumber if I feel I can tolerate it. She said introduce one at a time see how I do. So excited to have some fresh fruit again, especially now in the summer.
Go back in 12 weeks for my 6 month check up. My Goal for myself is 100 lb loss total.... and get my A1C to 5.5 ok...............I am on my way..........

I stay away from anything with a sugar content that is higher than 5 grams, as this is what was instructed with my program. The cabs don't bother me, as I'm not carb crazy, but the sugars would concern me.

I have a handout from the surgeon that lists preferred supplements. Fair Oaksfarm Core Power shakes is on that list and when I go to www.coreprotein.com I find the Fairlife Core Power Shakes. The coffee one actually has lower carbs and sugar than chocolate and vanilla. I guess by this list I'm ok...it's just such a dramatic difference from some of the other options. I don't want to mess up.

Well I was avoiding coffee as recommended. My guidelines have a fairlife core Protein Shake option but was confusing as to which one. These numbers seemed high. Will follow up with my NUT. Thank you all!

Hi! Does anyone drink the Fairlife Core Power Protein coffee shakes? I am in love with these, especially because of the 26 grams of protein in each one and the bit of caffeine! However, they are high in carbs at 21 grams and have 19 grams of sugar. Am I making a bad choice to drink these? Thanks for any advice!!

    Great idea, Matt!

I had TWO glasses of wine last night when hubby & I went out for our birthdays/anniversary. I had a designated driver and I don't feel guilty in the least. Part of me wishes I had gotten sick though, so that I wouldn't be tempted to do it again Additionally, I had the wine with my meal!

Thank you for your encouragement! I really appreciate all the comments. Today is one month since my surgery and I have lost 19 lbs. I've hit a major stall, but I'm focused on following my meal plan and celebrating the big picture. Thanks again everyone!

@Pleasedontjudgeme Honey relax and take a moment to Celebrate what you have accomplished. This is a life style change not a race. I know your having doubts. I got them too only mine hit 30 mins after I woke from the surgery. I am 7 years and 7 months out. So I have hit every stage you can imagine. I even regained some weight. I get what your all experienceing. Please don’t get discouraged or start the “stinking thinking”. It took me at least 5 weeks before I had large jumps in weight loss. I still don’t have major swings and I am back to basics measuring and liquids.
Yiur all doing. Wonderful. It take months to heal completely and your still figuring out all the emotional changes as well. Stay focused and follow the doctors directions. You will see changes happening. Take a picture of yourself. Print it out and then have a family member hold it. In a month take another to compare. You will see the changes before you know it you will be amazed at the progress. Have a blessed day.

I think if you average 3 pounds per week that is fantastic. That would be 78 pounds in 6 months. Don’t be a victim to the scale. Exercise, eat right and there is no way you will fail.

Hi Mandy, I would say the others are correct and hopefully by now you are seeing results. The healing process is a big part of those 1st 4-6 weeks. I am having a stall at 9 weeks presently as well, but I am told that once I go to my next food phase I will see results again. I will say I am comfortable at my current weight.

2 kg the first two weeks (or 4 pounds 5 ounces).
    Stop worrying.
Once your stitches/holes have healed and you eat to your plan and start daily exercise, a good trend usually begins.
I'm 8.5 months post-op and not concerned that I have occasional "flat" weeks. The trend s good.

Don't worry. It's not panic time yet! You probably put on at least 5 pounds of Fluid in the hospital, which you had to lose afterwards. You're also still very swollen inside. It can take a month for all the swelling to subside. It will be ok. When I went back to work 8 days after my surgery, my pants were tighter than they had been before the surgery. It just takes some time. But it is depressing, I get that.

Actually, no. You are still healing, and healing means swelling, Water retention, etc. So not everyone is dropping quickly at only 2 weeks post op.

You are far too close to surgery to start worrying about your losses, relax and follow your instructions.
Things will start moving soon enough, focus on healing first.

I’m feeling really down and not sure what happened. Did I have unreasonable expectations? I had sleeve surgery on 6/13 weighing 306 lbs!! It will be two weeks ago tomorrow-and have lost 10 lbs. I realize 10 lbs. of weight loss is something to be happy about, but in the first two weeks after a sleeve surgery??? Shouldn’t this be my highest weight loss of any period after surgery???? I have been drinking Water, propel, crystal light and chicken broth only for the last 13 days and that has netted only 10 lbs. of weight loss??? What’s it going to be like when I start Protein Shakes and puréed foods—will I even lose at all? I’m feeling so angry and disappointed. My biggest fear is that this surgery would not work for me and I feel like this is proof. If I can’t lose large amounts of weight consuming small amounts of calorie free liquids, how will I???
What were your initial losses? Any words of advice?

LOLOL! I’m not sure which one is the sweetest. They are all pretty sweet. Luckily my boxers aren’t droolers, but my sister has English Mastiffs and they drool A LOT!! My husband and I have had boxers forever. There were three before these four. They are a wonderful breed. Henry is our first white boxer and also the largest boxer we’ve ever had. They are all professional snugglers and hopelessly devoted to our family. ♥️
