    Hey!
I take Saxenda. I'm on my second month and I've lost 17 pounds. Others loose faster. I think I have a metabolism that's slow as a snail. But anyway, check out on a Facebook a page I joined called "Saxenda Support Group." It has over 5,000 members and it offers a wealth of information from people taking it. It's a very active page!! I have PCOS, so Saxenda is ideal. But it works for many others also. You will deal with nausea... but it goes away. It's super expensive but there are Discount Cards online. I pay $35 a month. But normally it's like $1.000. Good luck!
If you join the Facebook support page, I'm Cary Corcilius Gray.

I just went in for my 6 month check up and my doctor is recommending starting Saxenda due to cravings and unhealthy snacking. I'm hoping it curbs my cravings and that I will start losing weight again!

I'd be interested to find out if anybody is using Saxenda AFTER having WLS?
I had my one year check up with my surgeon's PA yesterday (9/6), and we talked about how much more weight I wanted to lose (I've currently lost 177 pounds but would like to lose another 50 at least). We went over some things to help achieve that goal, but she mentioned at this point the weight loss would be slow at best.
Today I received a voice mail from her that when she talked to my surgeon about me later in the day, he recommended possibly taking Saxenda. If I was interested in taking it to contact them back.
I haven't yet contacted them back, but I did think it seemed odd to consider taking it now over a year out of WLS.

To Meow999 - just so you know it is very easy to regain weight with the sleeve. You have to stay away from carbs forever.... It is only a tool and if your mind isn't truly into the program, you will regain. Good luck

go back to the lap band doctor and have them look at your wife TODAY
not being able to swallow anything but liquids is dangerous and not how the lap band works (fill or no fills)
do not take no or nothing wrong as the answer as obviously something is.

I had to do mines with my bra off. They said the underwire would affect the test. My technician was a female.

Your primary doctor is suggesting sleeve or surgeon?
    Reasons you are struggling?
What other health problems do you have besides obesity?

@Lee2 we don't know enough about you to make a decision for you.
I was BMI 41, age 62 and borderline bp on 7mgr lisinopril, no apnea, one TKR from old injury becoming arthritis, and so close to being pre-diabetic. I had the sleeve because I didn't want that much malabsorption, the risk of an ulcer in the unused stomach still inside me, and to keep my pyloric valve. I believe the restriction and removal of the fundus will be great tools to lose my excess weight. I also believe no surgery is magic and will require all my cooperation in my success.
    Good luck in your decision.

I got surgery at a Bmi of 32 weighing 192lbs. I’m 3 months out and now weigh 139lbs so 53lbs down. It was the best decision for my health I ever made! Good luck with surgery!

Not a debbie downer at all. That is a major life event for you. I'm sorry for your loss.
I try to show compassion daily. People hide what they are going through or experienced well. You never know who the walking wounded are.
    My turn to share,
It's hard to let go of the people we love. My mother and father in law were diagnosed with stage four cancer with months to live. They passed with in four days of each other. This was right before my surgery. My goal after surgery was to do distance runs in their memory. I continue to do them.
My weight was not only health issues. It was holding me back from living the best life I can. I feel like I'm making up for lost time.
Live life like today is the last.

Hi, first let me say congratulations on your weight loss and sorry your having absorption issues. I have not had my surgery yet but was curious about something and maybe you can help me answer this question. I am 5’6 with my CW at 228 and figured my excess weight loss is 75lbs which should take me to 153. What should be you GW if you do not mind me asking! Thanks
