  1. Getting so frustrated. 3.5 weeks out and haven’t lost anything since the first week.

Yes it is so frustrating when that happens! That was happing to me and I started drinking lots of Water in between meals and it has helped me start up my weight loss again..so keep the faith it will all be worth it. Also exercising will really help too!

  2. Hi all, I got sleeved 2/26, anyone experience right midsection pain around the incision, still dealing with pain and discomfort around this area. Anyhow, 6 days post op and I also haven’t pooped in 5 days, any advice is appreciated.

    Date of surgery 272

    CW 269

    GW 160

Stool softness do help.... also my Dct said things will work a lot slower than your used to...if stool softness don’t work you can use Miralax..

  3. Hello! Im post op day 9. Got sleeved on 2/20 and the first 4 days I thought I had made a mistake with surgery. Tolerating more liquids now and feeling a bit better overall.

    Starting weight- 325 (12/1/2017)
    Surgery weight - 295 (2/20)
    Current weight- 281

Welcome to the sleeved life! I think we all regret it at first with the pain we endure but I’m almost three weeks out and it definitely gets better!

  4. Well I had my 2 week Dcts appt today and down 10 lbs. Docter called it 12 which I’ll take because that’s how much I’ve lost since seeing him in his office right before surgery! I’m still on purée’s but can at least start eggs and next Monday can start soft moist foods so looking forward to that! And down 34 pounds since I started this journey!!

  5. I'm 6 days post RNY and doing great! Getting all my liquids and Proteins in and doing my walking. I don't feel a lot of fatigue and am not on pain meds. Haven't gone out a lot, since there's really only the grocery store (and we don't need anything) or going out to dinner which won't work for me right now).
Hope everyone is healing well and feeling better every day?!!

Great to hear! Glad you are doing so well!

  6. Hi all.

I survived! Friday was my sleeve day and today I'm home. The Dr didn't find a hernia after all, so that was good.

The first couple days were rough, but after the pain meds were adjusted, I'm doing much better. I was also able to get in the whole 8 ounces of Protein Drink over about 40 minutes.
I am so glad i never have to do Day 1 ever again. Ugh.

It's good to see so many of us doing wel.

Congratulations! I’m so glad your doing well!

  7. My procedure is in 2 days and I was wondering about this. Head hunger will definitely be an issue for me [emoji15]

It truly is there...but what I do is measure out exactly what I’m suppose to have and set a timer for 30 seconds in between each bite...it helps me to fill up much faster...eating slow is definitely the key...also try to stick to low carb stuff it will help you out!

  8. The Myth that everyone loses their appetite. God, I wish people would stop perpetuating this.
It's true that some people lose their appetite for months. Some folks are nauseated and have a tough time.
But many MANY folks could eat their own leg off right after surgery they're so freaking hungry after the starvation liquid diet.< br>
Real hunger can be cured by healthy food choices.
"Head hunger" is when you've had healthy food but you still want a Big Mac with a donut chaser.
    One is physiological...one is mental.
After surgery, you're quite literally starving.

    I totally agree!

  9. Hey justagrirl77, how is it going 2 weeks later? Feeling any better?
Make sure to keep drinking lots of Water, >80 oz per day. I went thru a stall recently for 7-10 days, even gained 1 pound. I was getting the same hunger feelings, just wasn't drinking enough Water. Increased my Crystal Light intake the past week or so and I'm back to losing weight again. Give it a try!
    Tex

I’m feeling much better just tired..I also am still feeling hungry especially when my family eats their food! But you have some good advice and I will try to get more fluids....I try to drink b4 I go to eating something because a lot of people say it’s not hunger but that u need something to drink!

  10. I'm here!
Been a rough week, super shaky, low energy & weak. I've been staying home to rest up and conserve energy, so going pretty stir crazy.

I’m almost on week two and I’m still very tired and I usually get a nap in to help. I haven’t gone out much but I’m looking forward to going out on Tuesday and hopefully get the ok to start exercising hope that will bring me more energy!
