Scheduled for 2/19! For those of you who had surgery this month, how are you feeling now? I am supposed to chaperone a field trip 2 weeks after surgery and I want to make sure it's feasible for me to sit on a bus with 60 2nd graders for 2 hours.

Hi there. Am absolutely new to this site but so glad to join you . I live in Australia and have received my date of February 27. Have the same excitement, fears and concerns as others. I am also a bit older (67) and am told there are additional concerns when you are older (increased muscle loss which I’m told can lead to falls etc. ☹️. Trying hard to start modifying my diet, using shakes, given up alcohol and most carbs to ready myself. Reading your posts certainly helps, so thank you all for posting 🙏🏻

Glad everyone is doing great!!!
I am very happy with my progress! Although sometimes I think it’s going slow now. I’m overall 73lb down, 57.1 down from surgery date. I’m only 10lbs from my 1st goal and 30 from my new and last goal.

Just here to vent a little .....
My Hair loss has recently increased, a lot! Like clean out the shower drain and the hairbrush every day! Waaahhhh!
I'm also in my longest stall yet ... two week! I'm curious if this is a set point stall. I am near the weight I held at for years until I started traveling for work and eating out extensively.

Hello, I experienced the same exact thing. It seemed everybody healed by the first week except me. And I was still very tender and even getting sharp pains on my right side. It was really annoying bc I wanted to start strength training by the 6th week but was still in pain. I could stretch or reach for anything without being in pain. I’m on my 8th week tomorrow. It’s better but still get that side pain if I bend down to get something. Hang in there

Hey everyone! So happy to have found this thread to share the journey.
I had gastric sleeve 2/10, 1 mo out and lost 26 lb so far. I had lost a lot in the first week or so and then stalled for over a week. I also had a complication and was admitted for a blood clot. That sucked, but now feeling pretty good. My sleeve seems pretty tough so I have to have good willpower to stick to the proper diet and get in enough Protein.

Oh no so sorry to hear that! Don't worry it wont be bad... hang in there! I worried that the same thing would happen to me so I spoke to my surgeon about it the other day while he was giving me my surgery date which is april 2nd,! and he didn't have it on the list to do with my surgery until I brought it up... then he sad YES there are gall stones and we will remove it during your weight loss surgery an fix a hiatal hernia as well. Ughh not looking forward to all that but it has to be done. I thought it would anyway since I have had that same kind of pain in the past that you are currently having . I don't think you will have problems recovering and you will feel so much relief after it is done. best wishes

So did I, I know exactly how how feel. My pain was immediately after surgery, pain in my right middle back and pain on right abdomen. My surgeon sent me for an ultrasound of my gallbladder. Also did a complete metabolic panel blood test. My pain was constant and sharp. I hope they can get to the bottom of your pain and fix it fast...

I was sleeved 2/12 and still experiencing midsection pain. It’s pretty sharp and constant. Happens when I’m stretching, bending and even when I’m just been sitting too long. Really annoying and frustrating. I’m going to see my Dr. this coming week. My incision are fine but that damn pain is keeping me down.
