  1. It does get challenging...I know...I'm currently going through it. I was sleeved on Jan 19th...I'm down 54 pounds but I'm at a 3 week stall...im finding myself wanting snacks chips cookies etc....I do eat one or two but I have to look in the mirror to see how far the Lord has brought me and REALITY HITS...I've come a long way don't screw it up now...so my advice....look in the mirror at yourself see your results no matter if it's 20 30 40 pounds we would never have been this far without the surgery...doing it on our own 10 pounds maybe in 5 months lol...truly....but youre doing great dont fear of overeating or stretching your tool...still enjoy foods but count the calories and embrace your new look...its still an ongoing journey.

    Craving pickle juice

I think we all went through that phase...I did drink a little juice every now and then just to satisfy the craving but remember it is high in sodium. But its no harm to have a sip🤗🤗🥒🥒🥒

    January 2018 Sleevers HERE

Hello January sleevers...Praise God I was sleeved on the 19th starting weight 244 current 194. It has not been an easy journey. I'm still having old cravings that doesn't want to die...its a challenge. I push myself to exercise 3 times a week at least 30 mins to an hour....trying to target the stubborn stomach belly fat and trying to keep the buttocks area from leaving...lol I had a stall a few weeks ago but now im back to loosing...I think. I still struggle with certain foods...refried beans mashed potatoes bacon chicken and salad sit well with me thus far. I tried a little Spanish rice and it settled. But I hope and pray we all come through this with SUCCESSFUL results. Keep praying keep taking your vitamins keep track of your food intake and reminder...as much as we desire faster results...we have come a long way verses if we were still trying to do it the old fashioned way..embrace your 20..25..30 pound lose that has happened within weeks or a few months.

Hi January sleevers...I'm 4 weeks post op..everything is going great praise God. I'm down I think almost 30 I think..I won't get on the scale but I see it in my clothes...im still craving old junk food and I'm having slight sharp burning pains from time to time around incision area but nothing major. I tried the treadmill last week for 45 mins..I was fine but that night my stomach felt irritated like it was burning slightly so I decided I better wait until I see the surgeon tomorrow. I'm not getting in all my proteins but I see my appetite has increased slighty I can eat a half piece of grilled thigh and maybe 3 teaspoons of mashed potatoes from KFC . I'm able to drink more than normal..little gulps not sips...the hunger pains are really not there I get weak when I see commercials or I'm bored...my old habit was to eat eat eat...oh and I find myself getting hungry late at night for salsa and chips or some type of chip...lol but again for the most part...I'm progressing and I'm learning this is a challenge and a journey...PRAYING we all see BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY results through it all.

    January 2018 Sleevers HERE

Hello...I had my gastric sleeve on 1/19 also...I'm afraid to get on the scale but I feel like I'm at a stall. I find the joy in seeing my weight loss in my clothes now so that keeps me encouraged...I struggle with old cravings, I'm able to comfortably eat fat free refried beans, mashed potatoes, egg salad, finely chopped ground beef mixed in small amount of cheese sauce/salsa. But I can't consume much, a few teaspoons at a time then quit . I'm not getting all my protein in but my liquid intake has increased praise God and the hunger pains are decreasing. I think my weakness is wanting to still eat my normal foods before time but at a smaller portion but I know in due time it's coming. I'm going to start exercising in the morning on the treadmill so hopefully that will help me also. Im not experiencing any pain, problems praise God but it seems like my stomach looks inflated one minute goes down the next lol....Well I pray everyone's journey be a beautiful success. Let's continue keeping each other encouraged and posted

    January 2018 Sleevers HERE

Just checking in...had sleeve on 1/19..doing great PRAISE THE LORD...I find myself craving alot of foods i used to eat. I'm able to consume more liquids than before and I'm trying to do better at my protein intake. Im eating small portions of tuna, a soft scrambled or boiled egg, a few teaspoons of fat free refried beans with low calorie cheese and low fat sour cream, a few teaspoons of mashed potatoes..Seems like I'm at a stall....starting weight 237 current 215. But i know in faith, the numbers will drop again it can be discouraging but I have to remind myself stop getting on the scale everyday....lol..I have my 1 month followup next week and I'm so ready to start eating skinless grilled chicken and steamed vegetables.... meanwhile let's continue posting updates encouraging one another...because it is a journey....and these post truly help...May the Lord continues to bless us all!

    I messed up

I truly appreciate the support. It is very challenging because I'm used to eating poorly and it seems I'm always feeling hungry ...the protein shakes arent doing the complete trick...but I'm praying my way through. I will be all the more happier going to pureed or soft foods...it's more options. But again thank you

    So much pain.

My prayers of STRENGTH are with you. I completely understand. I'm 6 days post op..I'm learning everybody's bodies are different. I was feeling horrible gas pains unbearable hunger pains and feeling like this was a mistake. But I know I must get over the hump...again the hump is different for everyone. My advice is too do your Godly best and pray through it all. Consume as much protein as you can tolerate..it's a challenge but it's a must. And sip the best you can...take walks inside your home...WE CAN DO IT...in the Lord's strength.
