  1. Oh my just weighed myself today. I have gained 4 pounds can’t seem to get them off I do not know what to do. I am exercising and eating right. My surgery is February 7th. I am so worried that if I don’t lose the weight they will cancel my surgery. Any one ever had surgery cancelled? I am to start my period (sorry TMI) soon and I think that is why I am bloated, but will they understand that? Any advice?

    Chewable Vitamins

You will need to take B12 everyday? From my understanding you could request the monthly injections or I should only take it once a week.

    Chewable Vitamins

My physician does not require ya to take them forever, but for the healing process he would prefer it. I was told no flinstones.

    Help with hair loss

Hi! Yes unfortunately it is something we all deal with, but should get better after your 6 month mark. However, it is crucial you take your vitamins. Remember, we require twice as much vitamins as the normal person. It is crucial. Talk to you doctor. Get on a good medicine regimen. Good luck hope it gets better.

Thyroid can play a big part in your weight and metabolism. You could have some other issues going on. Do you exercise? Walking is wonderful, but anything else besides that. If you have a low metabolism, you should still be able to lose weight just need to exercise so much more. Basically burn more calories than are coming in. Also try foods that naturally help with bowel movements and avoid ones that can induce a slow metabolism. If I were you, i would go to your doctor and get a referral to endocrinologist. They can take a look at everything and do a full workout to find out if you have underlying issues with your metabolism. Hope everything goes well. Good luck and for the mean time keep trying and don’t give up. Remember the goal is to lose weight, and you are losing.
  11. Nerua43.... RNY is roux en y gastric bypass. They cut your stomach and create a new stomach pouch about the size of a small egg. It restricts your food intake and bypasses the stomach which does not absorb all nutrients. It is considered restrictive and malabsorptive.
  12. It catches up. We will be there soon enough. Either way keep it up.... day by day. I am 260 hope to be 250 on surgery date.

    Getting Discharged today!

Congrats Seahawks fan!!!! I wish you all the luck in the world.
  14. I am having my insurance cover it, but depending on your credit you could get a personal loan at your bank. If your credit isn’t the best, try One Main Financial, family, saving up little by little, or the surgeons office should have care credit. You could also look into a hospital and see the financial department and see what they can do. If you really need this surgery, they might be willing to help you. If you own a home, you could take out a home equity loan. I am sure there is a way. In the mean time, keep your head up high, keep dieting, and keep trying.

    Home work-out vs gym

Thanks you too keep up the work. I have equipment at home that gets used. I like the idea of involving the family that way it doesn’t feel like a work out, plus keeps the kiddo away from those electronics.

    Surgery likely canceled

I would not worry. Talk to them tomorrow, but also remember your health comes first and if something needs to get fixed before surgery they need to make sure it is fixed to not put you into any danger. Congratulations and I wish you the best!
