I was the same way. I drank a few ounces of Pickle Juice and it helped. I tried other stuff but it didn’t help

I am going through menopause no period for 10 months and bam! 3 weeks after surgery I started. 8days from Hell. Going to make an appointment for a full checkup since I am due for one.

I have decided to go to ER after talking to my doctor. Here now for this reason

I called Dr said it is an issue maybe right after surgery with your lungs. Need to use that device they gave for breathing

I am right now. And it also feels a little similar to heartburn symptoms at times. I had my surgery 3/22.

I have been on a liquid diet 2 weeks before surgery (3/22) and working on my final 3rd week after surgery. I have my follow up Dr appointment next Thursday and a first bite class the same day. I will get to go to puréed food then and when they tell me I can go to food after that. I think they said 1 week on puréed. I have seen every doctor is different. I hope this helps but I would definitely do what your own doctor says to do

I'm not sure if the crazy period is normal but for the first 8 months after my gastric bypass I had periods from hell too and I would get them every other week and sometimes super plus tampons would slip out the second I put it in. I was hating life. I thought I was going through menopause but dr said no. Now I'm 15 months out and I get my period like normal. As far as the heating pad and laying on your stomach it's safe as long as you can bare it. I wasn't able to sleep on my stomach for the first 3 months after surgery. That's my story goodluck!
I saw my ob gyn and I am going through the early stages of menopause. I thought my period after having kids was bad. I laid on my stomach for a little bit but I have to find my heating pad. Maybe it will help with the pain of my period. Not having any pain from surgery, I just want to scratch... healing process so I don’t. Thank you for your story.

Well before surgery I have been going through menopause for the last 3 yrs. Last period over 9 months ago. Well after having surgery 2 weeks ago the curse is back with a big pow! Cramps and doubled over... my questions is it safe to use a heating pad and laying on my stomach (if I am able to)? That was the only way I was able to get relief from my period before. Now a new count down till I reach complete menopause.

So, today I had my barium swallow test and come to find out that the mild heartburn I was having is a hiatal hernia.. the dr that diagnosed me says that this is typical in patients that are 50 or older (I’m 36) of course my size doesn’t help it any CW 280..
My question is.. how does the hiatal hernia affect insurance approval? (If any) and how does that impact the surgery being done?
I’ve read some mixed messages and I have been so down and sadden by the diagnoses. Trying to stay positive in hopes that maybe a little weight loss will make it go down?.. idk, but the Bariatric surgeon made it clear that he does not like to do surgery on patients that have or have had hiatal hernia.
Any thoughts?

Really my surgeon said it is common and he repairs them at the same time as he does the sleeve

What does everyone take for Constipation? Trying to stock up medicine cabinet before I have surgery. 7 days away till surgery
-
I will have both done on March 22. Looking forward to finally exhaling

Good luck that is so exciting!!! I know there are risks to all surgeries and the anesthesia but this is generally a pretty safe surgery. Can I ask what doctor is going to do the surgery?
Dr Terry Scarborough at TLC

I am 47 my BMI is 47.6 I am 5ft 2in next week is my surgery on Thursday. I have lost 7 lbs on my liquid diet so for in just 3 days.
My husband is finally supportive but was really scared for me to have surgery. He knows I have been trying the last 5yrs every darn diet in the world. We have a handicap daughter who is 28 and I am her primary caregiver since I stay at home. He works long hours and travels out of town weekly. Luckily my other kids live in our rent house next door, so they can check on us while he is gone. My goal is 150 but doctor says I can probably get to 130. I live in Alvin,TX
Good luck to everyone on their journey

I never really take pictures due to my weights. Just didn’t make me happy to do so. This was July 2017. I had my surgery March 22,2018.
