About Me

Hi. I'm an uncomplicated and no drama mama.   Afterall, life brings its own drama and that's plenty to deal with. I love being with my family and I love animals.

Occasional trips to Goodwill to find something useful or unique (I found a really cool blue Moon Beam clock there once) and treating myself to a face mask almost daily (clay, gel, or sheet mask - I love them all) are activities I enjoy.

I've lived with chronic pain & fatigue since 1996. It cost me my livelihood. The pain & fatigue has made having a regular exercise schedule difficult. I have had spurts of going to the gym and/or taking water arthritis classes.  I started on a slow walking regimen since my VSG hospitalization.  And, I'm going to fight to keep it up.

I am not a fan of unsolicited advice, particularly in regard to fibromyalgia. Well-meaning people have often offered tips, tests to try, and exercise advice. After coping with chronic pain for 21 years, I have turned over every stone in my attempt to get better and unwelcome advice is just that...unwelcome.

My VGS surgery went very well.  I had no nausea in the hospital and only a few fleeting moments of it since I've been home.  I've been able to keep food down (well, liquids at this point) and my abdominal pain (other than first two days which were moderate) has been minimal.  I'm looking forward to this adventure and to better health.  I'll give it my best fight...a KatFight.
