Started transitioning into vegetarianism. First day has gone good so far!

I will totally let you know! I just realized that I haven't really enjoyed the way meat tastes lately... so I wanted to make this change. I've decided to do pescatarianism though instead of straight vegetarianism just to make sure I can get that protein in!

Moment of whining: I know this is totally head hunger, but I am missing pasta SO MUCH right now. Especially mac and cheese or chicken fettucine alfredo. Creamy, gooey, deliciousness.

I had cravings for pasta, but I found I missed the sauce more than anything else. If you can tolerate chicken, try cutting up a little chicken and just adding some alfredo sauce to it (just a little bit since it is high fat and your tummy might be sensitive to it). It's so good. I actually combined alfredo+marinara when I first did that. Work had brought olive garden for catering and I managed to avoid the pasta temptation by just eating some chicken and sauce. It helped!

It's funny; I was really worried the past few days about how easy it's been to reach 1,000 calories, and today I was barely able to reach 850 despite having eaten some good meals and worked out. I just need to be more conscious of what food choices I make. I'm learning more about what makes me feel satiated every day! Definitely tuna and chicken, for sure. Dangerous foods for me include roasted chickpeas, cheese, and nuts... They just don't fill me up much.

Hey! That dried meat in the oven sounds a lot like my favorite jerky ever... biltong! It's a South African jerky (my mom is from South Africa) that's made like that. You slice it kind of thick and it makes for an AWESOME snack. I'm definitely going to have to make some in a few months when I can tolerate red meat better!

Fluff.... NOOOO I love my dried berries You're right, though. I always would hate it when I'd pick up dried mango and find it coated in sugar! Like, why? If I wanted sugar, I'd get a dang candy bar!! I got mine at Trader Joe's - I just looked it up and it definitely contains added sugar. Thanks for the warning!!! I need to get a dehydrater and just make my own, to be honest. That would be fun.

Mmmmm... those sound so good!! My treat food is some dark chocolate chips. Sometimes I mix them with walnuts and dried berries. Gotta make sure it's all measured out because that can be a dangerously delicious combo!!
