High Protein, low Fiber, low liquids, pain meds - all = Constipation. Make sure to get plenty of liquids, and walk! Walk walk walk walk walk! I would stay away from meds to help you, unless your surgeon approves. Mine told me to stay away from everything but colace and milk of magnesia. Colace first try - if that doesn't work, then go with the milk. Thankfully I only had one real bad day and I won't go into the details on that.

I dealt with kidney stones and acid reflux for 25+ years. I found an Amish vinegar product on Amazon for my acid reflux, after using it for about 3 months it downed on me that I wasn’t dealing with stones anymore and was able to pass fluids without pain. I talked to my Gastric Sleeve Surgen about continuing with a vinegar product after surgery and he told me to wait until i got on soft foods before starting it again.
USE ONLY APPLE CIDER (DO NOT USE WHITE VINEGAR OR IT WILL BURN YOUR THROAT AND STOMACH)
Brags Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider Vineger with Mother in it works well also. I mix 1 tbs of vinegar, 1/4 tbs pure lemon, 2 tbs of organic honey to 4 to 6 oz of hot Water and sip it like a tea once or twice a day. You can increase the amount of vinegar, lemon or honey to your on taste. The vinegar desolves the stones in your kidneys and urinary track and helps prevent them from coming back. The lemon juice helps keep you flowing and the honey helps cut the bitter taste of the vinegar and lemon but honey also acts as a mild laxative which helps with the constpation problem that you may have after surgery.
PS. This formula also helps cut my hunger cravings and helps with your weight loss journey. It is also great for preventing leg cramps.
