  1. I felt the same and freaked out too, day 1-3 it was painful having just one sip of liquid then for the next 2 weeks I could drink fine and didn’t feel full and thought surgery hadn’t worked... I felt the same on puréed stage too with not feeling full but just measured out food, once I was on proper food I became one of those people that couldn’t eat a whole egg. I’m 7 months post op and have never felt nauseous or thrown up at all.

    Why so slow???

Everyone’s different, the day of surgery I was 325lbs and I lost 33 pounds in the first 3 months so I think you’re doing great! I compared myself too much to everyone else and thought I was losing too slow but my surgeon said I was losing what I should 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Question regarding Superannuation

I didn’t know either but when I had my first appointment with my surgeon he gave me a breakdown of all the different things you have to pay for when you get your super money and then beside them it has whether there is a Medicare rebate or not, so mine was: Anaesthetist, Pathology, Radiology and Surgical assistant I could claim back.

    Question regarding Superannuation

Hi I weighed up all the options and i ended up accessing my super. My surgery was $21,000 and so far I have gotten back about $6000 from medicare and i put it back into my super. I got all the forms i needed from my surgeon in the initial consultation (a centrelink form that you and your GP fill out, and a letter from the surgeon and a letter from your GP), you submit these forms online to centrelink and wait for approval, it takes max 28 days (mine took 34). Once i got the letter from them saying approved I sent that to my Super fund and had the money within 4 days, so was all fairly easy for me. Good luck with it all!

I’m the 2nd as well [emoji847]... it didn’t feel real until yesterday when I had my last nutritionist appointment and felt sick with nerves the whole drive home :/

    So scared

This makes me feel a lot better about surgery. Thank you so much everyone that replied, I have to keep remembering why I chose to do this in the first place. So glad I joined this group

    So scared

I’ve been a member on here for a while and have read just about everything to get as much info as I can but I think I’m making myself more insane :/. I’ve been so excited about surgery for months, it’s on the 2nd February, and I’m already losing sleep over it I’m so scared. I even keep wondering if I should go through with it or change the day. I’ve never been to hospital before, never had any major sicknesses, so I’m just so terrified of being put to sleep and not waking up after surgery it’s consuming my whole life at the moment. I assume everyone is a little nervous, but was anyone else this scared?
