Hi ribbit 12 I'm 8 weeks post op!My name is Crystal and I am 38 yrs old. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I thought I had a handle on it a few years ago when I was able to drop 100 lbs. But as usual I wasn't doing it in the most healthy way and it slowly started to creep back up. I had VSG surgery 6/5/18 and am officially one week post opI'm new to the community and looking forward to meeting new people and getting/giving support...Here's to getting healthier and STAYING that way this time

My surgery date is April 17th, and now that I have my date I am nervous! I have questions though. Does anyone know of some Protein Drinks with no dairy or whey, where I can get them?? Also if I have a hernia that the doctor doesn't know about, will he fix it when he does my vsg??

I have not been morbily obese for last five years, but overweight. I have, however been obese and with BMI of over 40 for probably at least a year. So I'm hoping it goes through!

Beachbish, do you have bluecare as well? Also, does the insurance require five years of medically supervised weight loss or just history?

Hi, I am done with six months appointment, yay! But am now facing insurance issues. I have had history of trying every diet under the sun including the bad drug Phentermine several times. My surgeon now says that I need five years history for my insurance bluecare to cover. Has anyone had this problem and if so what did you do? I am calling my primary doc today to see what kind of weight loss history I have but I'm scared I don't have the
history that my insurance needs
