Just be careful! If you feel like something is wrong let someone look at it! I ended up in the ER last night with a serious infection in my main surgical incision 10 days post op. I've been worried about it for several days and kept writing it off as "it's fine".

The good news is that after having the infection drained and getting on some antibiotics I'm finally feeling WAY better!

This thread was so nice to find! I've been so stressed about the pain I'm still having. It's beating me down and making it difficult to not regret my decision to have the surgery. I'm 8 days post op from RNY. I struggle to get up and sit down. It's difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. And I struggle with even wanting to get up and around to do anything because of the constant pulling pain.

It's good to not feel alone and to know there is an end in sight.

I finally feel better! I had a bad infection in my main incision. It started draining last night and I went to the ER. They drained it the rest of the way and started me on antibiotics.

The amount I feel better and am able to eat and drink is DRASTIC! I hate that there was an infection but I'm sooo glad that's what it was and there wasn't something wrong with my bypass!

Lesson learned-don't ignore your gut feeling that something might be wrong.
