    December 2017 Gastric Bypass!

I finally feel better! I had a bad infection in my main incision. It started draining last night and I went to the ER. They drained it the rest of the way and started me on antibiotics. The amount I feel better and am able to eat and drink is DRASTIC! I hate that there was an infection but I'm sooo glad that's what it was and there wasn't something wrong with my bypass! Lesson learned-don't ignore your gut feeling that something might be wrong. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. My highest weight and what I weighed at my initial visit with my surgeon was 342. He wanted me to lose 20-30 pounds before surgery. I only lost 8 before my pre op appointment but he didn't seem bothered. My pre-op diet was clear liquids for 10 days and was frankly the hardest thing I've done in my life! I weighed 322 day of surgery and I'm at 309 this morning 11 days post op Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Just be careful! If you feel like something is wrong let someone look at it! I ended up in the ER last night with a serious infection in my main surgical incision 10 days post op. I've been worried about it for several days and kept writing it off as "it's fine". The good news is that after having the infection drained and getting on some antibiotics I'm finally feeling WAY better! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery pain

This thread was so nice to find! I've been so stressed about the pain I'm still having. It's beating me down and making it difficult to not regret my decision to have the surgery. I'm 8 days post op from RNY. I struggle to get up and sit down. It's difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. And I struggle with even wanting to get up and around to do anything because of the constant pulling pain. It's good to not feel alone and to know there is an end in sight. December 2017 Gastric Bypass!

Hi everyone, I'm new on here and wishing I'd found it before my RNY surgery on 12/18. I wish I was feeling as successful as some of yall. I feel like I'm struggling to get in my protein and fluids daily. I'm still really sore internally and struggling with motivation to get up and around because I hurt so bad. The number on the scale is dropping...I've lost 19 pounds since I started my pre op diet on 12/11...but I'm just feeling miserable and having a hard time fighting off the feelings of deep regret.
