  1. I would also advise to work with a major hospital system and not a clinic. At one point I considered looking at Barix Clinics and I was alarmed to discover that they only keep their patients in the hospital 1 day post-op. The post-op care was also unimpressive so I quickly crossed that one off of my list. My surgeon says that I'll be inpatient a minimum of 3 days. She said, "And if I even have the slightest thought that more are necessary, you'll be there." Of course she smiled as she said this and it really made me feel like she cares.

I went through a major hospital system and they were originally going to release me 1 day post op. I only stayed because pain wasn't controlled after they removed my Iv. It's a major teaching hospital so maybe we don't always have to stay?

  2. Not sure where to post this but...

I didn't have any mobility issues till after surgery. I mean it's temporary but still messing with my head. I never had problems showering or walking before.

To make matters worse, my daughter has been at her grandparents house. They planned a vacation and my daughter wants nothing to do with me. I missed her so much though. I know I'm being overdramatic but damn.

I'm on Oxys for pain but I've been having horrific nightmares since!

Like I'm actually depressed. Really depressed. I take pills for it but they're not even working.

    Damn

  3. Yeah but fleas don't stick to one area. From my understanding, multiple types of flea can carry plague. Also fleas don't discriminate. They will bite and live on just about any mammal and Europeans brought Pets with them. It's not like they slapped Frontline on them before coming.

Recently some fleas carrying plague were found on Squirrels near my area. Yep beware of squirrels.

  4. This thread makes me feel like I've somehow just gone back in time to 1950. Why on Earth would anyone shave or be shaved there? Makes no sense at all.

I have been waiting for someone to ask lol!
I have Straight pubes for some reason and they sometimes stick to pads. Pulling undies off resulted in unwanted hair plucking. I considered shaving before surgery because aunt flow was expected a few days later. I just forgot and, Lucky for me, aunt flow didn't show!

  5. April,

Good luck tomorrow. If you're anxious before your surgery, ask for an anti-anxiety pill (or injection). Just tell them you're anxious and if there's anything they can give you.

Where are you having your surgery?

Let us know how you're doing on the flip side when you're able.

Good luck tomorrow. Will keep you in my prayers.
