drvs got a reaction from ITS BIG DEE in How many oz ?
Try to make sure you are meeting your Protein goal. Try to find higher Protein foods. eggs and cottage cheese have good protein and it saved me because I was like you where I get hungry quickly after. Higher protein in will help curb the hunger (for me anyway). Supplement your liquids/between meals with the Premier Protein shakes. That helps too. Once you can eat more it will become easier. I still get hungry between but I just try to drink more. My doc said 2 oz of food isn’t a lot so yes, you get hungry but get your protein goals in because it will help.
I’m 7 weeks post op and am getting about 4-5 oz in per meal.
    Good luck!

drvs got a reaction from Cher53M in Every morning dumping syndrome
I have the same issue; and my mother too. I think it has to do with the coffee ingredients, caffeine or something else in it. With me it seems to be in morning only. Almost by exact timing 30-45 min after I will need to be in a “safe” place or there will be trouble. If I have a cup later in the day no issues. I’ve counted it up as IBS.

drvs got a reaction from yolandalou in Sleeve surgery December 12th
I was sleeved on the 12th also and I do have pains there also if I eat or drink too fast or too much at once. I also notice once I feel full that is where I feel it most.
Just take it slower and listen to your body telling you you’re full. Sounds weird but sometimes I stand up if I feel full because the area you are describing I will feel a “pull” or a tugging if I’m full. When I am sitting I might not feel as full as when I’m standing.

You're one day after me. I'm on 12/11 and just started the 2 week liquid diet this week. Good to see another guy in the December crowd.

I live in central east coast of Florida. Married (14 years this coming Wednesday). Struggled with weight most of my adult life. I am a software engineer. Yo-Yo diets took it's toll on me. Type 2, bad back, bad knees, slight hypertension. Wife had VSG and hernia surgery repair last December with success of 85# down. We rescue ex-racer greyhounds. Currently down to 1 (had 4 at once before). We also have 2 chihuahuas (big difference in size but guess who runs the house; ha ha). I'd love to start being more active with the doggies. I also restore cars; I have done 6 in the past and currently working on a 1968 Ford Mustang.
I want to be so much more active but as I have realized lately overweight/obese people are not alllowed to do anything. I believe I get around very well and am as active as I can be but the reason I say this is no matter what I would like to do to be more active there is a weight limit for EVERYTHING. As an example the wife and I just took a cruise the beginning of this month. Looking at all the excursions the ship offered we could not do 98% of them. The ones we could do where there was not weight limit (believe it or not) involved eating. We couldn't do segway, 4 wheeler, dune buggy, wave runner (even 2 seater), tubing, zip line, nothing!!! It makes me very depressed.
I am looking forward to my surgery and my new life journey with my WLS and to share my journey/help others as I can with theirs.
    Cheers
