You are doing awesome...it's still a challenge for us all at some point. But our MOTIVATION is seeing where the Lord has brought us from and the desire to not want to be that size again. Keep up the great work...embrace where you are now and press to your Godly best.

I have been researching Bariatric Keto, and there is a specific reset. It differs from regular keto in that it is Protein, moderate fat, low carb. It seems to be very successful. I suggest looking it up.

Hi! I had surgery in Dec 18. I don't have an answer for you - I'm actually here for the same thing! I did want to let you know you're not alone in it though It happens! I lost 6 lbs between June and August. I gamed them all back the first weeks of August. And I dropped them all around the last week of August. Not an ounce since!
I'm not going back to liquids, as this would be the equivalent to a slider in my opinion. (Which wouldn't matter, I suppose, if I'm choosing low/no calorie things). I thought about cutting back carbs (this IS where I am doing something different- open faced sandwich or piece with a salad). It isn't a lot of calories that I'm consuming that way, but maybe it's affecting me in other ways. And back to the very basics- measured, to boot. Simple Protein, simple steamed veggie.
I know others will probably chime in with advice or maybe even instructions for a proper reset- I hope you find what works for you! Best of luck!

I’m 5 weeks out and at my 2 week appointment my Dr was more surprised I was trying to take Vitamins than me not taking them. I think he knows how hard it is to do all of this at one time after getting sleeved Two things that stuck out when we met were him saying you usually have enough nutrients in your system for almost a year and that we didn’t have gastric bypass we had the sleeve so our body is absorbing what we are eating. With that being said I go back on Monday and that’s when things get real for me because that’s when he starts me on my program for the rest of this journey

    Crap!
No, I mean literally...CRAP! You think you feel bad now? But, you had the sleeve instead of the RNY, so it might not make you dump like you would if you had RNY where they cut out the part of the intestine that digests sugar and fats.

you all are so sweet to share! Thank you
I know none of us should compare because we will all end up with the same results eventually but its nice to know what to expect and when. I'm scared to death to eat too much and stretch my stomach and I'm hoping to be at a comfortable weight by this summer so I can enjoy it with my kids.

Help! I’m two weeks out from sleeve surgery and pretty sure I have a stomach bug. The only thing I can keep down right now is Italian ice. The problem is I can’t find any sugar-free Italian ice. Any suggestions? How bad is it if I am eating full sugar Italian ice. I know it’s not ideal but my goal right now is just to stay hydrated

    Hello,
I started my journey at my heaviest weight 338.5 . After meeting with the nutritionist the first time she gave me restrictions no fried food, sugar, soda, no caffeine, and only whole grain complex carbs. I followed all her instructions because I was going to take control of my life. When I went back in a month I was at 329.5 . I followed this plan all the way to my pre op diet although I didn't monitor my weight. The day of my surgery ,January 23, I hopped on the scale and weighed in at 317.2 . Today I went to see my primary doctor for a two week follow up. When I hopped on the scale it read 307. I was so excited 31.5 lbs gone in the blink of an eye.

Have you tried Walmart? I found that to be a good place to find jeans under $30 that were great for transitions. My weight loss has been steady, but I know that it will slow down soon!

Wow, great job! We're close to the same starting/surgery weights (you beat me by a few pounds) though different starting dates. But I'm losing very slowly now...I'd like to mirror your success but I'm trying to stay realistic for me.
I wore 28 pants now I'm down to 24. I'm hoping I can fit into non-lane bryant size 24 pants (haven't tried yet) because I'm not having luck at goodwill/thrift stores and don't want to spend $60+ for trousers if I'm going to keep getting smaller! (for work-not a dress/skirts person) Tops are easier to find for less!

Started at 304 got down to 283 before sleeve on 8 August. Lost fast a beginning around 30 pounds first month, then it slowed down, nearly 6 months later I have lost 75 pounds. Now 229 and losing on average 2 pounds a week. Sometimes the scales don’t move but the tape measure does, I have gone down more that 5 dress sizes. I used to dread stalls, drove me mad in the beginning now I just follow the pattern and wait for it to pass. Its years since I have been so happy within myself. I feel normal, wear wonderful clothes and am so much healthier.
I want to lose more, and stick religiously to Proteins and very few carbs, I struggle with Water and never quite make it. However, if I didn’t lose another pound I would still be so much happier than this time last year.

    289 (-21) at 30 days post op
And from there out, lost 14, 11, 9, 8, 7, & 7 more pounds each month. I completely stopped losing at 6 months and FOUGHT HARD to maintain, while trying to keep losing.
    I'm now back UP 60lbs.
Don't ever get lax. It will own you. I'm starting all over again, pretty much.
