    Ketogenic diet

There are a few bariatric keto plans out there..... What I've been told is for keto do High protein 60 -80g or whatever your doc recommends. Moderate healthy fats and low carb and lower calories. Just search for bariatric keto truth and groups like that on facebook Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hungry

I guess every plan and surgeon is different. I'm on liquids for 21 days, then pureed for 21 days etc. So right now I do a protein water, a crystal light, broth, 80 grams worth of protein shake and maybe a jello Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hungry

What type of Protein shakes were using. I'm sure that if your protein increase then you won't be hungry. Right now with what you listed you're not really getting anything nutritional which is clear that you're hungry. I think using a different brand may help but runny poop and gas is completely normal at this stage. I just worry introducing things too soon may sabotage your weight loss eventually. I only had surgery 2/14/18, but I have a lot of friends and family members that have taken this journey before me and that has been their advice.... stick to the plan. Hope this helps Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bypass or Sleeve???

I would suggest the RnY because of your history. That's what my surgeon recommended for me and based on my personal research that was the best option for me. I just had mine on 2/14/18. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Is feeling tired normal?

I just had RnY on February 14th, and I was told it's normal to feel tired because our bodies are adjusting to a major surgery, calorie intake is low etc. The closer you get to meeting a 80 gram protein goal and 64 oz fluids you will feel better. Every few days I make a broth with ramen noodles packets and that kind of picks me up! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    How long?

Hey everyone! My process was just over 5 months and I used Medicare. I did my initial consultation Sept 8, 2017 and I had my RnY Feb 14, 2018. All of my appts went really fast... I just needed to lose a few lbs.... once I met goal weight Dec 8 I got my surgery date about the 3rd week in Jan. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Concerned about GERD

I have GERD, but my surgeon suggested the RNY because of it. Everyone I know that had a history with GERD and had the sleeve it worsened. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
