Spoke with the medical pros and they're not alarmed. So long as I am getting my fluids in and there are no issues getting them out, it's just something that may or may not pass.

Good choice! I actually like that sandwich. I don't touch fries anymore because they actually taste kind of gross. I love a good burger with lettuce, Tomato, and onion. They are soft, go down easy, and typically last me two meals. I can really only get half of it down.

I think the overuse of "thoughts and prayers" make it very disingenuous. Politicians use that tired old phrase all of the time and hardly care. Instead of thoughts and prayers, offer solutions!

We were on the road shopping for a new (used) car for my kiddo.
The rest of the family wanted good old BK Steakhouse....so we went to see that creepy king.
I had the veggie burger with all the veggies on it, just like they make it... and an iced tea. And I'll admit it...I ate a couple of my hubby's fries.
Could not eat even half of the veggie burger....but it was freakin' delicious.
Half a veggie burger= 200 calories and 10 grams of protien. Throw in 50 calories for the fries I swiped. A totally do-able lunch budget:)
I feel kinda victorious when I can find ways to enjoy out to eat crap with friends and family....in a sensible way that doesn't break the calorie budget or derail my diet.
Win-win. I like options. And the half a veggie burger option...is awesome.
Also found an AWESOME car for the kiddo:) Almost a clone of her old one, only blue this time instead of brown. She's super excited:)

This is a tough question to answer because each person's post-op experience is radically different. I was fine for the first 5 weeks and then I developed a stricture and an H. Pylori infection. The next four weeks were utter misery. It was nice simply having someone able to help out with chores like laundry and meal preparation. My best advice is to simply be there for your husband and ask him if there is anything you can do to help and offer help as well. That alone will be the best that you can do. He could have a really smooth ride and be ready to head back to work in two weeks, or it could be a little more drawn out like my recovery.
I am just now ready to go back to work and I am planning to go back to driving tractor trailers because work is plentiful. I lined up a gig with Schneider and I start again on July 2nd. Now that I am 63 pounds lighter from my heaviest, I'll bet getting up and down those truck stairs will be SO much easier.

Let's hope for "Thanks but no Thanks" and. if not her maybe someone, else without the professional barrier. I do not understand how some pretty Pennsylvania Princess has let Mattymatt get away. Now that your personal covering has shined up and smoothed out, somebody will want to see your personal journal and read a few pages. There maybe other goldfish in the pond, just not necessarily that one.

The major upshot of losing the amount of weight that I have is that I am really looking good now, for the first time in a really long time. I am still heavy, but I look really good now. I feel more confident and now I am really freakin' horny. Fapping just isn't doing it for me anymore. It's frustrating! I am supposed to see my surgeon for a follow-up this week and she is major eye candy - more so than her bio picture. It's gonna be bad, she's got to know I am interested because I stare at her legs. She's in her late 20s, unmarried, and no boyfriend. I've got game and part of me wants to see how much of it I got back. Shoot, maybe I'll be just stupid enough to ask her out ... LOL! Got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Plus she's totally my type, she'd look good on my arm. She can work on me any day. I've got a weakness for highly educated, smart women.

A lot of the post-op trials and tribulations now seem to be in the rear view mirror. The scale is moving again and I am within inches of being under 3 bills. Whuuuut!? I never thought I would see this. Also, I've got 110 pounds left to lose but this number does not seem nearly so high anymore. I get two really close milestones. The first one is being under 3 bills, then the next is no longer qualifying for surgery.

In this game there is no should as we all lose at different rates. I was initially depressed because it felt like the weight was coming off slow. Do you know for a fact that you're eating too much? Are you logging? I am in my 12th week and I am still on the plus side of 300. Keep your chin up. At least you have some idea of what you might be doing wrong. Go back to logging just for the purposes of data. :-)

I am an atheist as well but sometimes you have to consider that the intention is one of care and consideration. Life is too short to sweat the small details. As long as the intention of the person is good, then I can easily see the forest for the trees.
