My daughters best friend just graduated from law school. She has put in over 60 applications and got one interview so far (already received a rejection e-mail). This is the new norm of job hunting. I can't imagine trying to do all that while feeling ill. Hang in there and keep up the water until the Doctors sort out what it will take to get you back on track.

I came back from China with campylobacter. Just endless hours on the loo, and 5kg weightloss - I thought that was rough but i’d Chose it over that bloody ulcer bug. But remember, this too shall pass......

This is one of the things my surgeon test for during the pre op phase. I tested positive and had to undergo the antibiotics and then retest prior to surgery. Sorry to here you got the ulcer from it that is a tough break with everything else going on at the time. Hope you get better soon.

I'm so sorry you got this news, but 6.4 is now in the pre-diabetic range! And since it's a 3month average, it probably still has glycated hemoglobin working through your system from the pre-op highs...you know? What was it going into surgery?
Hang tough! Sadly, surgery isn't the magic diabetes bullet we all pray for. It can and will return if you we don't change our diets and food relationships and keep the carbs limited and very selective. Even when we eat very tiny amounts.
It's definitely a tough pill to swallow!! ((hugs))

That is such a GREAT update - inspiring. In two weeks I go to China briefly, Work, and have to climb steps up a hillside to an ancient village. 250 I am told - 10 flights. So each day now I add a flight - and I thought THAT was good - your goal is fantastic!
