The lowest calorie ones, I think, are the Popsicle brand, sugar free at 15 calories each. They are available just about anywhere. I suppose you could also make your own with Crystal Light or something similar.

This. I buy the Costco brand which has cookie dough and brownie, are much cheaper than the Quest brand and do the job.

BariatricPal Products

I love the Syntrax nectars as far as powder. The Kay's natural white cheddar puffs are good. The mac and cheese ones, not so much. There are a few protein bars that are good and taste like candy, but I prefer the generic quest bars from costco. I don't need to be tricking my brain to think it's eating candy -
That was one my biggest annoyances. I had to sleep on my back for about a week, and I'm exclusively a side sleeper. Between the surgery and a bruised rib during, it was impossible to side sleep. Sometimes recliner helped, sometimes not.
-
Never even heard of them until I started reading here. It occurred to me to be a good thing for my bruised rib after surgery, not the surgery itself. Never got one, it all passed quickly.
-
From what I've seen, it runs the gamut. Mine says under 100g but a lot of them I've read on here say under 25g .

Time to be honest. Anyone care to join?

I definitely thought, "Maybe I didn't try hard enough" and in fact, I started seeing the Nutritionist at the surgeon's office with the intention of NOT having surgery, just accountability, because my insurance wouldn't pay for a nutritionist otherwise. But, after a few months, I started realizing that I was really good at short term and really really bad at long term. I turned 50 in June and decided that it was now. I needed an extra tool to help past the 40 or 50 pounds that I lost at least 10 times, then gained back and always more. I was 6 when my mom took me to Weight Watchers the first time. That's a whole other story, of course, but that started the yo-yoing that lasted 44 years. I feel like I did it just in time....before menopause and before any serious health issues (other than sleep apnea). I'm not going to say these three months of have been easy at all, but so far, I'm still glad that I did it. Good luck to you and don't doubt yourself. Seriously! Happy New Year! -
Also, maybe some coconut oil. That seems to be a miracle solution to a lot of things

Can you try a topical Benadryl? You are probably reacting to the glue. I have had reactions to adhesives for years. Those are usually worse than whatever was being removed or stitched up.

Gallbladder was way easier.

How is your GERD hunger different from regular hunger? I am on meds twice a day, so I really don't think my hunger is GERD, but I am hungry all the damn time and it's making be irritable and generally crazy. I can't imagine it's GERD hunger and I know it's not head hunger. I thought after surgery, you aren't supposed to feel hunger. Guess I'm just lucky.

Week 3 after sleeve - weight loss slowing
KarenOR replied to jjdonkey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It happens. It's super frustrating. Try to stay off the scale everyday, it just makes it worse. I just had a two week stall and I was doing everything I should . You just cannot predict how the body reacts at different times. It's a big change, which is why I think the 3 week is a pretty popular time. Just keep plowing through.... -
Eating months after the surgery
KarenOR replied to TexasMommy80's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It depends on the kind of foods for me. I'm almost 3 months out. Some things aren't sitting as well, but I can definitely eat 3-4oz of protein and a few bites of other things. Lots of people have trouble with carbs, I don't. I most certainly can eat nowhere near what I did before, obviously. But I also don't eat so minimally that people think it's weird. -

I did soft chews for the first two months and then switched over to pills. I found one on here actually that is only once a day. It's a good size but certainly not as big as some vitamins I have seen. I also took Celebrate soft chews caramels for the Calcium+D. I just got tired of all the chewing of those things. Wanted to swallow and be done.

I've been using the postage scale that we already had. Works great.
