  1. Since month 2 I stall for 10-14 days, then lose 5 lbs a week then stall another 10-14 days. This cycle has been my new normal. This month I haven't lost anything since 2/2 yet this week I just lost 4 lbs. Even with hitting my Water and Protein goals, and exercising. I guess this is how my body is adjusting. Everyone is different, the worst we could do is compare our journey to someone else or be hard on ourselves because we didn't lose as much as someone else. Keep up the great work Novemeber sleevers!

  2. I’m sure you will get there eventually. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I know my weight didn’t come on overnight and it won’t go overnight. My highest weight recorded was 293 although I believe I was probably in the low 300’s prior to that weight. I am determined to make this work no matter what. This is a tool and we just need to find the right combination to make it work. I have no doubt we will succeed!

Thank you! My highest was 291. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet just 1 day before, liquids. So now I'm around 248. My goal is 165. I'm 5'2 so I'll see where this journey takes me!

  3. I’m doing well. Had an issue with my incisions not healing but now they are good. I’m down 22lbs just shy of a month out. I definitely need to start exercising so I just joined Planet Fitness so that I can get my cardio in. I love walking but it’s just too cold to go walking outdoors just yet. My next appointment with my Dr is March 12 and I want to at least lose 10lbs.

Glad your incisions healed up. Great job on your wt loss! I too wish it was a little warmer to do something active outside, soon enough. Good luck with your next goal! I wanted to be 50 lbs down by my Dr visit this Friday but I don't think I'll get there, nonetheless I'm still happy with my progress so far

  4. Hi how are you doing 3 months out?

I am feeling great! I've lost about 42lbs and 30 inches. I haven't had any complications with introducing foods, just a little acid reflux week 3 and 4 but it subsided. I have so much more energy. I try to get myself to the gym 3-4 days a week. I get about 60g of Protein and about 48oz of Water. I'm not hitting my goals with that. It is something I have struggled with right along. I take each day at a time! How are you feeling since surgery?

  5. I went through the same feelings and emotions you are having. I was sleeved on 11/17 the week before Thanksgiving. Here I am 15 days post op and down 21 pounds so far. I can tell you it does get better. Each day gets better. It is an emotional journey but just keep in mind the reasons you did this. I too felt ashamed that I couldn't lose the weight on my own. I felt like a failure. But the past is behind you, don't beat yourself up over it. Instead work on the present and take it day by day. I'm sure in 6 months you will look back and it will all be worth it! Good luck to you on your journey!

  6. I had my surgery on 11/20, and I'm already down more than 20lbs! I can't believe how fast it's happening...

I'm on the soft Protein diet, and I'm just starting to tolerate some solid foods. Did any of you start feeling hungry after surgery? I've been keeping to my protein and fluid goals, and don't take in very much/get full very quickly, but just curious if others have experienced this?

Congrats to all the November surgeries, and good luck to all the December ones!

I've had rumbly hunger pains every day since I was sleeved on 11/17. Usually in the morning. I get my required liquids in and protein. It doesn't last long usually a few minutes. I've been on Clear Liquids and allowed protein Water for 2 weeks. I start pureed food tomorrow, I hope the hunger subsides.

  7. Hi November Sleevers! I was sleeved on 11/17, I'm 8 days post op now. I am required to do a 2 week clear liquid diet for phase 1, then phase 2 I do moist and mushy in which I can add in those premier shakes, thicker Soups, sweet potatoes, and dairy! I can't wait to get passed the clear liquids. I got up to 64 oz of fluids today, the highest I accumulated since out of surgery. How is everyone doing in their phases?

  8. My first two weeks post op was only liquids. It was full time job just to get 64oz of liquids in each day. I didn't have to worry about Proteins or Vitamins. I don't know if I could have gotten in 100 grams of Protein at that stage. It was Water, herbal tea, broth, sugar free Powerade and sugar free ice pops and Jello.< br>

I'm in the same boat as you! Clear liquids for 2 weeks with about 20 gr of protein as my goal (protein water). The second phase, moist and mushy phase is when i have to focus on getting to 60 grams of protein. Seems there are many variations for post op phases and length of time. I'm approaching my second week post op now.

  11. I am right there with you. I also had my surgery on Friday morning. I will be going home tomorrow & cant wait to sleep in my own bed. Pain has been minimal, controlled with Tylenol. I have been able to get my fluids in - broth, popsicles, Water, Gatorade, diluted juice, etc... I can start adding in Protein Shakes, yogurt and milk starting Tuesday, hopefully that will help with lack of energy. I will be going back to work on the 27th.
Hoping everyone else is healing well, and good luck to upcoming surgeries!!

Sleeping in my bed last night, was the best feeling, aside from showering! I'm on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks. My Dr. Takes a super conservative approach. Good luck with going back to work. Once you start adding Protein I'm sure your energy levels will increase.

  12. Sorry you had to go so long without liquids. I had surgery on 11/17 and was drinking the little medicine cups of Water shortly thereafter. I only had a short bought of gas pain. I have a lot of pain at the large incision site, but I have been lucky otherwise. Glad you are doing better.

Yes it was torture! My incisions are hurting now that I'm not on pain meds. Glad to hear your went smoothly!

  13. Reporting back...I was sleeved on Friday ,11/17- spent 2 nights in the hospital (dr. protocol). Once I got to my room (around 12noon) I wasn't allowed to have any liquid (again dr. protocol). I was a miserable mess. Hungry and terrible air/gas pain that settled in my upper left shoulder/back. Once I started walking the pain subsided. Day 1, Saturday post op I was allowed to start my liquids. I increased my walking and almost all of the gas pain subsided. Here I am day 2 post op, Sunday) I am feeling great. I am home resting, drinkings fluids and getting up to walk around the house. I do have slight pain around the incision sites. Bending over is a no no,and getting up from a chair hurts too.

I hope everyone in the coming week and rest of November has a smooth surgery and recovery!
