I'm just over 18 months post op and am down 177 pounds from my highest weight of 347. Time has flown by, now back to the gym to hit weights harder to try and put on some mass.

I finished my first half marathon yesterday! Finished in 2:12. Had two packages of Stingers chews, Water, and nuun for hydration. I'm glad it's over as my hips and right knee are mad at me today! It was a beautiful day, and I was able to run with my wife, so it couldn't have gone better

I am running my first half marathon in two weeks, and have been training for a little over two months now. Yesterday finished our last long run of 12 miles and took some Stinger chews (luckily for me, nothing I've tried yet turns my stomach). I also plan to have my pack on with Water and some liquid carbs, along with a Protein Bar. I plan to water down the gatorade with some water at the aid stations, or just might pack a bottle with me to save some time and energy. Hard to believe I've gone from 347 to 173...and a spectator at the finish line to participant. Best of luck to you on your journey!

I was sleeved 10/16/17 with a highest weight of 347, surgery weight of 283. This morning I weighed 174.2! What a year it has been. Ups and downs, struggles and successes, and figuring out the new me. I was a 3xl shirt and 44" waist, and am now wearing a Large slim fit shirt and 32" pants. Life is much more enjoyable with my new found energy, ability to move around, and to squeeze through places I never thought of before. The year has flown by pretty quickly, and I am so happy to have made the decision to go forward with surgery.

According to my scale and the BMI calculator this morning, I am no longer obese. I’m now in the overweight category for the first time in over 15 years. I’m just over 12 lbs from my initial goal and hoping to hit that mark at my 6 month check up appointment next month!
