    December 2018 Sleevers!

I had mine a year ago on 12/11/17. Hang in there. It all goes so fast!

    It's a great feeling...

...to go to the gym and get eyeballed in a good way from the ladies there. Definitely keeps me motivated. I remember the days not too long ago where I would be eyeballed everywhere I went just because I was a 6'3" 400+lb guy and looked out of place in any setting. The new way of getting eyeballed is so much better.

How long until you level out?

I would say 8-8.5 months is where I leveled out. Right at my goal weight.

How much sashimi/sushi can you eat?

11 months post op and I can eat about half a roll.
  5. My surgeon has his patients start on purees on day 3 as well. He is also an accredited bariatric center of excellence surgeon.
  6. The bariatric pal chocolate caramel crunch protein bars are the best I've found so far. They taste like a 100 Grand candy bar.
  7. Having two insurances is likely what's causing them inability to calculate. They will send to your first insurance, and then whatever is due after that (what they would likely have billed to you if you only had 2 insurance), will then be sent to your second insurance. If anything is still due, they'll send to you.

Unsupportive Husband, Says I Gave Up

    Is your husband also overweight?
  9. 1a and 1b. Longevity/Family. I decided to get the surgery when my daughter was born. I decided I wanted to be around as long as possible for her, and never wanted my size to dictate what I could or couldn't do with her. 3. Looks 4. Health... The only health issue I had was sleep apnea. Glad to now say HAD... Past tense 5. Mobility... I actually had pretty decent mobility, shockingly for a 400+lb guy.

  13. About 9 months for me. I've since been trying to ADD weight (never in my life thought I'd say that) with muscle. It's crazy how fast it goes by when you get in a good routine.

    Neck/facelift, Anyone?

That's damn impressive. I would guess you in the mid-30s based on this pic!

    First Time (even after WLS)

I've always wanted to take flying/pilot lessons, but most of the small planes used for that require you to be under 250lbs. Now that I'm holding steady at 220, I'm ready. I'm hoping my wife gets me this for Christmas.

I'm back on the grind again. Sorry for absence.

Nice job setting a routine of going consistently. Do you log you calories and protein each day?
  18. Combination of both. On some of the pics you can see my phone staged. In others, my wife is taking the picture.
  19. I switched up my routine about a month ago to do different lifts, focusing on compound lifts. With that, I started a 6 week program where I had kind of set my weights for the 6-week period. At the end of this routine, I'll try again for 1 rep Maxes and see where I'm at.
  20. Some update pics from today's session at the gym. I've been battling mentally with the reality of eating enough to gain muscle. Though I know I need to, anytime I see weight GAIN on the scale, I freak a little and subconsciously pull back on my diet. This week I gained about 3 pounds and I'm trying hard to be OK with that.

    I Want a Cheese Enchilada.

I ate two of them last night with Anne fajita chicken for dinner. Yummy. Anything in moderation!

    Volume and calories consumed daily

I ask for a box and take 1/2 home for another meal. ... Or I split an adult sized meal with my 2 year old.
