  1. After a couple of months with my new stomach I tried eating and drinking at the same time- nothing bad happened. Keep in mind I only eat 3-5 bites of anything to make sure I save room for water/beer/ wine during my meal. Does anyone else do this? I am currently 11 months out of surgery and end up with a total of 1,200-1,500 calories a day including 2 beers or a glass of chardonnay. I have surpassed my goal weight of 135- now I'm 130.02 and continue to lose a pound a week. I eat 5-6 times a day, stick to healthy options and exercise / play sports multiple times a week. Curious to know if anyone else eats and drinks at the same time?

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

I was sleeved 10/17, down 39lbs! Haven't had issues with protein or water. I have very minimal carbs and I don't count my calories. The only issue I've had so far is acid reflux...it is a daily struggle.
  7. I'm a week post opp and ready for some coffee even if it's decaf. When did you drink coffee again after surgery?? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using BariatricPal mobile app

When did you have coffee again?

  9. My surgery is at 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 17th. I have been on a liquid diet since Friday and have been miserable since. I can have sf jello, sf popsicles, sf powerade, broth and water- I drink approximately 80+ oz/day. I have been getting dizzy throughout the day and it makes work almost unbearable. Should I get a low fat greek yogurt or something of substance?? I feel like I'm going to pass out at times.

    Calling all October sleevers!!

I was sleeved today. I was so afraid of getting this surgery that I almost didn't go to the hospital. The only time I was in pain was when I awoke from surgery in the recovery, I have sleep apnea(undiagnosed but I do have it) so they nurse's watched me closely and quickly gave me pain medicine info my iv. I was still so out of it when they moved me to my private room and was very nauseas. The nurses gave me medicine for my nausea along with some other medicines. It was very easy for me to drink water. I took tons of naps today and got up on my own to go to the bathroom and walk around the hospital. I have not had gas pain (a few burps) or any other pain in my stomach. I've been able to drink tomato soup, water, tea, and protien shakes. I guess I'm super lucky for not being in pain. My advice to those that are having the surgery is you may not have to endure that much pain- so calm your nerves and keep in mind you are doing this for you and you can get through it. What is your Pre-OP Diet?

I can only have clear liquids e.i. sf Jello, sf popsicles (saving grace), sf powerade, water, and broth three days prior to surgery. I'm dizzy every morning and extremely snappy to people around me....I also have a constant headache. BUT I've lost 4 lbs in two days so that's good.
