    Don't pray for me

It CAN be wishing well ... the first time it happens. But, when the person is soon told politely that you have no truck with religion(s)/deities, it becomes either rude or a form of proselytising ... and that is not fair. Imposing unwanted views or ways of life on others is an act of rudeness if one persists when aware of the other's preferences. In my country, belief in a christian church (or christian pursuits) has dropped from over 85% in 1945 to barely 20% in 2016 (our last census). So, it's very wrong of the few christians to think they can impose on other people who are NON-BELIEVERS or who belong to non-christian faiths!

    Don't pray for me

You don’t think ALL Christians mean any disrespect when they say something like that to you or ME. Sadly, @Love2Travel816 , some do. It's quite clear after I've told them my feelings & beliefs, yet they persist in some form of proselytisation or missionary-like zeal.

    Don't pray for me

FFS, he's just making the point that he wants EQUALITY of sensitivity and, in future events, a respect of his right to NOT believe in a deity (or deities).

    Don't pray for me

I accept THE FIRST TIME that they comfort me or say something that they consider positive or supportive that it's okay ... but I pick, as well as I can, a time later to tell them that I do not believe in the existence of a god, multiple gods, deities, etc. I then expect them to be more sensitive to my feelings in future exchanges.

    Neatly explained analogy!

    Stall - 7 months

Yes. I went nearly four weeks in April losing only 300 grams (10 ounces) but then in May, things kicked off again with a 2.7 kilogram loss in under four weeks. (i.e. Almost six pounds!)

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

Yes, I looked forward to leaving 7XL and 6XL shirts, 66-inch waist work-slacks and 9X track-pants behind. Today is 35 weeks since surgery. 47 kg (104 pounds) lighter. I'm wearing 2XL and some XL shirts/polos. My slacks are 48-inch waist. I'm in 4X track-pants. My shoes are looser on my feet. I used to be 15mm from belly to bottom of my car steering-wheel. (Half an inch for American readers.) Now I am 155mm (6.5") from flatter belly to the steering-wheel (and because of my smaller arse, my seat is a few notches closer to the front of the car too).

Hocus Pocus BS. Fictitious figments of imagination looping around in the clouds ain't determining anything for me.

    Don't pray for me

That will cause me to vomit on you or to have a moderately severe anaphylactic reaction.

    Don't pray for me

Hear, hear to that. I am an agnostic and have no truck with formal religion of any sort. People may pray for me if they wish but no-one is listening ... but I am glad that it feeds their self-satisfaction.
  12. Your husband sounds like an entitled prat. History says that GASTRIC SLEEVE surgery works to help over 90% of patients improve their health and their lives exponentially. I had failed to stick past many previous diets. I'd get to four months or seven months and then have an emotional or career setback that would undermine my resolve. 35 weeks ago today, I had the surgery and it gave me the impetus to beat my troubled relationship with food and exercise. I am 104 pounds (47.6 kilograms) lighter than I was on 12th October 2017. Tell him the history of the op is pretty sound. Tell him that you don't need the negative attitude.
  13. I had surgery 35 weeks ago today (12th Oct 2017). I now think, 47.2 kilograms lighter (104 pounds), that I delayed my surgery for too long. Seriously, the best thing I have done in my adult life to improve my health. For 35 weeks in a row, I have been averaging a three-pound loss (1.4kg). That's hard to ignore. The surgery allowed me to get ahead of the many previous disappointments and failed diets. JUST ORGANISE THE FUNDING AND DO IT A.S.A.P. Your life, in 99% of cases will become remarkable better.
  14. Someone else has already begun on meals and cooking pointers. You will do a great job if you improve the quality of the food you are putting into your kids. Their long term (i.e. life health) picture will improve as you fix your needs and get past your obesity. You, as (single) parent, are leader of this family unit. Can I say my favourite advice is "COOK WITH YOUR KIDS". My daughter has four of her five kids (the ones aged from 12+ down to nearly 7yo) all involved in food preparation several times per week. Kids, even ones who have been on convenience style foods and packaged/reheated foods will still eat (IN MOST CASES) what they help prepare.

    Hair???

No. I have hair loss as a result of 4+ hours swimming per day. The chlorinated water at the swimming centre seems to 'eat' my arm hairs and most of my chest hairs. Surgery itself has not been responsible for hair loss. My swimming hair loss happened in other years long before gastric sleeve surgery.

    I gave up:(

All the more reason to consider swimming OR ... a gym with a lot of machines where you can exercise on your back on sitting.
  17. "I am at 6 weeks post gastric sleeve and following exercise and diet goals faithfully but am plateauing with my weight. Has anyone else experienced this?" Almost everyone has this. It may last days or weeks or even months ... but you are right to ask and look for intervention suggestions, @kir18 .

41.5 BMI but no health problems.....

I concur with all the other posters in response to the OP. Don't wait. Don't delay. Intervene to protect yourself. My BMI is down from 60+ to where you are now, @jultrim18 ... cut yourself off from risk. My gastric sleeve surgery seven months ago has empowered me to improve MOST aspects of my life.

4 week post op major gas

Have you tried stretching and breathing exercises on waking up each day? It might help.
  20. Normal for some. Sounds like the time to telephone your bariatric clinic and/or surgeon for advice ... "to be sure to be sure" as my Irish pals say!

Might be the time to find an acceptable agnostic if the christians are failing to appear! :-)

    Weight Stall

Is there any way you can increase your exercise by 10-20 minutes per day at least four days per week? It might kick-start your metabolism a bit. What about some capsicum (red or green) ... cooked or raw in your meals to help "warm" your metabolism. I think Americans call capsicums by the name "bell peppers". They are not hot like chilli but they do spark many people's digestion and energy-burn.

    Weight Stall

Worthy thought ... even if you're not a medico.

    I gave up:(

Take all the positive steps you can: (a) protein shakes as meal replacement at least once per day, (b) steady, gentle exercise as often as you can, (c) a bit of random/intermittent fasting, if possible. As for (b), I have found the joy of swimming ... next to NO PRESSURE on joints and limited pain following exercise. Just wade (chest-deep) or breaststroke slowly for as long as you can each day. [That pre-supposes you have access to an affordable pool where you are. Mine is $1.75 per visit ... open time.]
