For the first time in 8 years, I was below 300 pounds!!!! I weigh 299.8 this morning, 9 days after surgery. Wonder how long it will take me to get to my next goal of 275?

So my daughter reminded my she had a snap shot on her phone of me from about 3 months before i started this journey so pretty close to my max weight. I have had it for few days now and had to work thru my emotions before i could clearly decide if i wanted to post this or not. So the beard hides my 3 chins pretty well but well you can see for yourself. loose skin and all

I am now 2 years post Gastric Bypass (Feb.2016). And 160 lbs lighter. I had a total knee replacement October 2017 and with no exercise for 6 months I’ve gained 14 pounds. I need to get back on track so I’m following my post op regimen and exercising again. I will lose the weight, I know. It’s just easy to get frustrated. I was told a bypass is only another tool and not an end-all to weight loss. That is so true. You have to fight every day to keep old habits from creeping back into your life. After knee surgery, pain and isolation took its toll on me. Winters in Alaska are tough even when you’re healthy. After a surgery it’s even tougher. I am keeping a positive attitude now. Spring is here and long daylight is here! Good days ahead!

Hi everyone.  I am excited to report that yesterday marked 7 months that I have been maintaining well below my goal weight.  Life is great, and I will always be so thankful the experience of this entire journey from the beginning with the six month pre-op diet program, to the surgery itself, to post-op life, and (most importantly) an on-going successful maintenance.  I hope this finds each of you well, regardless of where you are in the process.  Best wishes!

Well not the greatest start to my day, only down 1.5 pounds and missed the crossover from obese to overweight. So another week i guess. Well at least its down even if slower than i would like.
Tuesday is nine full months and some days it feels like a blink and others like 9 years.
got to get some coffee in me, to dam early in the morning for coherent thought.
    enjoy your weekend
