    Abdominal pain

I had revision to rny 4 years ago in May. I have horrible bouts of abdominal pain that has sent me to hospital several times... 2 CT scans, 2 egd and a colonoscopy later...no answers.. I don't see how it can be gas trapped but at this point I don't care what it is I am tired of these bouts that come on whenever out of the blue. It is debilitating. The pain is the worst! I need help.
  2. A year ago I started having awful pain in my stomach that went around to my back, for 6 months I suffered thinking it had to be gas. Nope. They did a a CT scan, upper gi, and a EGD this past Nov and said my intestines were inflamed but can't tell me what is happening or why. I want to know if anyone else is going through this
  3. Had the revision done at 7 30 am this morning weighing in at 180 my original goal weight. The first 12 hours were horrible. This was a very painful surgery for me and I don't know if it was because they also took the hernia I had. ( I believe they said they took it and not fixed it but I am still on the drugs. ) I have been given morphine to start with then they switched me to dillata because the morphine wasn't cutting it. I am back on liquid hydro now. I wasn't able to urinate either for the first several hours and I am still having a hard time with it. I have been crying through most of the day. Pain, anxiety and lack of sleep have been my companions as they are still not letting visitors in. I cant tell if I still have GERD . The gas pain has been in my neck and shoulders it sucks. I did 3 laps around the ward at 1 am to see if it would help because I thought I had read it helps with the gas. Well I will keep updating my progress here. Good night
  4. Bile reflux what is difference? It should still go down and not burn right? Did you ask about the limb being too short? Very interested to see if they are able to help.

What do you think about the weight loss end so far? What part of Missouri are you in? I am in Springfield.

    Revision completed

Its been 2 1/2 years since my revision. Love the RNY so much better. My weight has been stable for over a year now closer to 2 years i would say. So all total i am over 5 years out from this journey and as far as the weight loss goes it was everything and more. I still have GERD ugh
  7. I have the same issue over 2 years after my revision to RNY. The GERD has never left and i am still on the strongest PPI twice a day and I still Burn at times ! Please let me know if you are able to get help. The Dexilant is over $2500 every 3 months !!! My saving grace is that my insurance covers it!

    Dumping 😭😭😭

I was cleared after a week to go to soft including chicken. The only things I didnt get sick on were the protein pretty much in the beginning. I just was careful on amounts and still am because I would get so ill. GL

    Dumping 😭😭😭

Everyone is different. It has taken me a long time getting use to. I dont get sick all the time and usually its my own fault for eating too much or the wrong thing.

    Dumping 😭😭😭

17 months post op. Yes I still get sick. I have figured out somethings that will get me but like you said one time for something is okay and then the next time its not oaky. I ended up losing down to 142 from 180 after revision. I pretty much sit at 148. I dont worry about regain anymore which is good. I dont mind the trade off really, it keeps me in check. It does get better the farther out you get just listen to your body. Over eating makes me sick too and in the beginning I could not feel a thing until it was too late and I was already sick. I really have to be careful.

    Dumping 😭😭😭

YES !!! I dont throw up either and that seems to make it worse. I have laid in bed for up to 2 hrs and cried it hurts so bad, but that was more those first 6 months.

    Dumping 😭😭😭

I dump A LOT ! I have got it down to eating too much aside from when I eat something and my body says NO. You just never know what will trigger it sometimes and you will figure out the things that do for sure as you go along in the process. The first 3 or 4 months are the worst, at least it was for me. It was also harder because I could not feel anything for about 6 months during the healing process and I dont have the restriction I had with VSG. The dumping keeps me in check for sure. Good luck

    Excess skin?

Yes on the skin and no I dont feel like its worse then being overweight but it does suck after doing all the work. You are never too old to feel better.

Am I doing this all wrong?

Sorry you are having issues with dietician . Do you have to see one ? I never did after I had the surgery. I used the guidelines given and hung out in forums and did Youtube videos on what are you eating 3 months out ect ect. Those videos were very informative. If you have to keep seeing one get a different one. You really dont need the extra stress.
  21. Do you remember which group? It would be so nice if I could find someone with this problem. I havent been able to find anyone that is having the issues I have.
  22. I have not seen him since the surgery. He doesnt believe its possible is my understanding but they still have not done the bravo test to find out anything and I am guessing it is not important with this Covid outbreak. I think I may go see my regular Dr. and see if she will order it because this PPI is 1000 bucks every 3 months and I shouldnt have to be taking one !
  23. I had this same issue and was revised 15 months ago. My esophagitis is and A from a D now, but I STILL have GERD and am on the same PPI (dexilant 60mg) daily. I am an oddball as it seems.
