  3. Hey everyone i’m super excited to share that today I stepped on the scale this morning and the number I saw surprised me! I finally hit a normal BMI. And I’m super close to my goal weight (I even surpassed my doctors goal weight which was 72 kg) I know BMI is just a number but It‘s been over 25 since i was maybe 14 years old. it’s amazing and I’m super happy. I’m 6 months post op gastric by-pass surgery. My highest and starting weight was 120 kg, my surgery weight was 110 kg, and as of today I’m 71,6 kg. Here are some photos of my journey: This is me at my highest weight This is the day i left the hospital after surgery During the process And one of my latest pics
  4. Don't get discouraged, if you do some research on this forum you'll find thousand of posts regarding this topic. You are not alone, we all go through stalls, some people lose weight faster than others but that doesn't mean the ones losing slower are wrong. Make sure you are drinking enough water and reaching your protein goals. If you are doing things right you will continue to lose weight.
  5. Hey everyone! I'm almost 6 months post-op Gastric By-Pass, very close to my goal weight (7 kg/15 pounds) and I'm already thinking about plastic surgery. My arms and legs are pretty ok, my butt, breasts and tummy not so much. I am 26 years old, single, no children but I do plan to have some in the future. My concern is: should I get these surgeries done right after I turn one year post op? Should I wait more? THinking that I want to have children in the future, should I wait after that happens, specially the Tummy Tuck surgery. Has anyone gone through this? I need opinions before I start thinking about a consultation with a plastic surgeon.

    Cold food

After almost 6 months it's still the same, I eat super slow and I don't own a microwave. So I just had to learn to deal with the cold food. It is what it is I guess. But if you do own a microwave I guess it can become your new best friend.
  7. Im 5 months post op lost 42 kg and since summer started here a month ago or so i’ve been feeling very dizzy and tired all the time. I started to take my blood pressure a few times a day and its low i’ve been getting 10/6 or 9/6 when i used to have normal bp around 12/8. Anyone else had this problem?
  8. Thank you both! I know I want to get to my goal I won’t stop here [emoji5]
  9. I've yet to reach my goal and I'm not very far, but I still have like 12 kg to go and people are already telling me I should stop losing weight. I think everyone's shocked about my quick weight loss but years ago when I started to gain and I was at this exact weight people (family specially) used to tell me I should lose a few kg bc I was fat. So why is it different now? I'm decided I want to get to my goal or at least as close as I can. My brain hasn't adjusted to my new body yet and when I go out to buy clothes I always have to downsize the stuff I pick because I see smaller sizes too small for me. So maybe they are right and I'm not seeing it? What do you do when people tell you that you should stop losing?

    Period question

For those whose period stopped as a consequence of being obese. I had high prolactin levels before surgery (i have to wait 3 more months to get that checked again) How long after surgery did it take to get back to normal? Im almost three months post op and i haven’t gotten my period since long before surgery, my gynecologist wasn’t worried back then and still isn’t, my endocrinologist says it could take up to 6 months for the body to normalize, and then one of the doctors of the team where i got surgery thinks i should have gotten it already. I’m confused and a bit scared i’m only 26 and i plan on having children in the future.

    3 months post op

Sounds like a great idea! How would that work?

    3 months post op

Hmm [emoji848] i’ll try that someday. You are losing and thats what’s important so relax, do what you have to do but enjoy the journey. I decided pre-op that I wasn’t going to become a scale-crazy person, i used to wait for my appointments to get my weight but now that they are one month apart I weigh myself once a week only to keep track of my progress.
