  1. Thank you.

These charts are crap. If anything they show you what is too thin if you fit in their normal range. The real concern is that I dropped 25 pounds over the past 5-6 weeks. 18 months into this my weight should be stabilizing - maybe drop a pound a week and even seeing a few weeks where I gain a bit.

What is your success. You must be doing something right. Have you increased your calories a bit

I eat anything I want because after after 4 to 6 ounces, I'm done.

But you should know that I've had post-op complications. I got multiple infections, stomach leaked, 4 surgeries and so on and so on.

  3. I am 9 weeks out from Gastric Bypass surgery. 9 months ago I had the sleeve performed but due to leaks I was converted into a bypass. For the past few weeks, especially at bedtime, I am passing an enormous amount of gas. When I wake up, I continue until I get out of bed. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know why? I don't think I eat enough to pass so much gas.

  4. The Leak was realized a few weeks after surgery. It appeared to be healing on its own and contained. But I have developed two infections that are related to the leak, so unless the scan shows complete healing on Monday, we will schedule a bypass. This is why I want to know about recovery time. I have a short trip planned for mid-March that I don't want to cancel.

  5. As you can see from my profile, I've received a gastric sleeve nearly 6 months ago and have had great success. Unfortunately, my stomach has a leak, so most likely my sleeve will be converted to a bypass. I want to know from Bypass recipients, how long after surgery where you back doing normal activities? Began exercising?

  6. I decided to have one drink, a vodka cranberry. By sip 4 I was drunk. I nursed it for about 90 minutes and drank Water the rest of the night. The next day I was down another half-pound.

Empty calories wasn't my concern as I was only having one drink and don't drink often. It's kind of funny knowing that if I want to be buzzed, I can have half a drink.

    Congrats on your success.

  7. I’m one month post-op and I don’t need to wear my binder anymore for my incisions however I like wearing it to the gym and for work (I have a very physical job, up and down ladders, lifting and bending down). I like the support it gives me.
    Anyone else do this?

I wore won after hernia surgery in 1999. But I've never heard of anyone wearing one after VSG.

  8. Today is day 97 after Gastric Sleeve surgery and I am down 80 pounds since I went under the knife. I fee; good, but not great. Still haven't gotten back my energy. To be fair, I spent a month on antibiotics for a post-op infection. This week I plan to start an exercise regimen that hopefully help with boosting my energy. My Iron is a bit low and my B-12 is off the charts high. Vitamin D also low. I began using the MD patch for my Vitamins a month ago and I believe it's working well. My blood tests were done only after 10 days on the patch.

That's my story and I'm happy to stick to it.
