  1. For me, I've lived with the same set of issues for a while having children, I don't look bad but its not ideal. I was talking with my niece a few weeks ago, and we were comparing body stories (we are similar in age and now in body type and life experience) and she wants plastics too. We discussed breast lifts/augmentation, Lipo of back/stomach, BBL, TT, arm lifts and thigh lifts. She was only concerned about the scaring on the arms. We both want only one surgery and decided to seriously start looking into it when we hit our lowest weights highest funds. I'm thinking Mexico. So I a lot of people are thinking about it (who have not even had WLS) and for us the deciding factor is how what we can safely get done for the best price in one surgery.

HI! So my nutritionist told us in a group meeting to stay away from cauliflower and broccoli because it is gassy. I love cauliflower and being in my puree stage would love to have some. Has anyone had experiences eating cauliflower or broccoli in the pureed stage? I know I should follow what the NUT says but she also said something that was different than what my surgeon had said so I'm not sure??

If there is conflicting info within your team challenge it. Get clarity. Immediately.

  3. That's hard to predict can you have the store order/bring in a procession of sizes down in the same dress so that you can estimate? Bridesmaids dresses are not usually super custom so it shouldn't cost a fortune if requested ahead of time...

I had my first nutritionist meeting today and though it was a little overwhelming, I'm still excited. The info I received was mostly about the post-op diet and the 3 day liquid pre-op diet, but I didn't get much info about what I should be doing in the mean time, diet-wise. Of course, making healthier food choices is a given, but did your nutritionist give you any additional info at your first meeting? She did make the comment that if I lose weight pre-op, that's great and it'll be healthier for surgery but I can't gain weight which makes sense. Any tips for these next 4 months? Thanks in advance!

You can start by meticulously tracking your food/water intake (if not already) this will help you to: not gain any weight, maybe lose some weight and set you up for great habits after surgery!

    You're on your way!!!

I’m 2 weeks post op from gastric bypass? My NUT told me I’d probably only be able to eat 2 bites?!? I’m eating more than that. How do I know I’m full? I don’t want to screw up this whole process 😥

If you don't have a signal (I never did until it was too late) try to never eat past the recommended amount for your stage example

    1/8cup, 1/4cup, etc...

    Better safe than sorry

    Safe Journey

Having started this journey at 412lb (BMI 54.4) in April last year, and having lost 102lb prior to my surgery on 1st March 2018, and another 83.5lb since then, I am now officially overweight :D at a BMI of 29.9! I am still a ways from my goal, but today I am feeling very pleased with myself.

    CONGRATS!!!

  7. This is an interesting question!

The only thing I can say is not all cals/macros are the same

Fat is not just fat, carb is not just carb etc, different types of each of the macros will do different things in your body but that's getting too technical (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Also I know from watching food trends I lose more weight when I eat watermelon vs strawberries although I portion the same cal amounts...

  8. eggs. I don't know why they introduce them soooo early when soooo many people have problems with them. I can't eat two at 9 months post op, I can usually only eat them boiled, yesterday I tried sunny side up (well done) still made me queasy. A couple of months ago I almost gave them up completely when I ate one and projectile vomited for no reason (I have one of the strongest gag reflexes I've ever seen, trust me almost nothing makes me vomit)
