The before is the oldest one I have and its 2.5 months post op and the right photo is of me today! Thrilled with my progress. Hoping everyone is happy, healthy and doing great!

  5. 5 days post-op revision from VSG to MGB. Back home, feeling great. No more gas pain. Only minor discomfort in the abdominals, rather like after having done a bunch of sit-ups. Definitely don't feel like eating anything. Don't even have the boredom hunger like I had before. Fluids are going down ok though so that's good. Going back to work tomorrow. Wish me luck.

  6. Soooooo...... when is my body going to settle, 8 months in and it hasnt slowed down lol. from 4xl to L from 48w to 34w and i still cant buy clothes because i keep dropping.

  8. After a week of not having a computer, I'm sort of back up and running. They were able to salvage the info off my hard drive and transferred it to my husband's ancient laptop. I don't know how long it will last, but at least I have something to work with for now. Damn I hate being broke all the time.

I'm 8 days away from surgery, and the pre-op liquid diet is going sort of sideways. It's not the diet itself, but rather my hormone induced (read: intense pms) hunger and water retention. I'm constantly hungry, starving really and it feels like if someone were to prick my fingers, they would sprout fountains.

I've been hitting my 12000 steps per day most days, and getting close others (only missed on 2 days). I'm hopeful that I'll manage to lose the 3 pounds hanging over my head.

  9. 👉🏼 One. Hundred. Pounds. Lost. !!!

I was 235 lbs on Oct 10th, 2018.  Six and a half months later, I have shed the equivalent of my 13 year old daughter.

    That's just CRAZY 😮!!!

  10. A prime example of why the number on the scale is not the only measure of weight loss success/failure:

For the past week I have been basically at the same weight, give or take 1/2 a pound.

However: my body fat percentage went from 29.4% to 27.7%, and I lost 1/2 inch off my waist (and other places) in the same period.

  11. Hi all,

I am new to this and looking for some insight. I had my surgery back on 09/25/2018. My staring weight was 257lbs. The day of my sugary I was at 237lbs, now I am 7 months post op and down to 189lbs. I am really struggling though at this point... I dont think i have lost any weight in about 3 to maybe 4 months. I really want to lose about 30 more pounds but it just wont come off. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I am really trying to figure this out. I feel as if I am failing at this point.

  19. Went shopping today to buy new work out clothes because my current compression pants are more like jogging pants these days.  Soooo satisfying to reach for size smalls and have so much variety to choose from.  I love shopping again!

  20. I am on my 7th day post-op.  The surgery went "boring" according to the surgeon, which is his way of saying it went flawlessly.  Maybe he was hoping for something strange and abnormal, but I like my surgeries like i like my airplane flights, boring as hell and uneventful.  Recovery is going well too.

I'm getting a bit stir crazy being forced to stay home for a week.  They said once I'm off my narcotics, I can drive again, which was 3 days ago, but they still don't want me back to work yet.  Should be next week.

The liquid diet post-op is getting super boring, but I'm sticking to it.  I think I'm averaging 550 kcal per day since surgery day.  Can't wait til purees this week, I've been prepping a bunch then vacuum sealing them in advance.  I have a ton of veggies, low fat meats and fruits blended up and ready.

I cannot wait until I get the go-ahead to exercise, I'm ready to do this.

  21. Put on a bikini for the first time to go to the beach now there's going to be Thunderstorms...

Wait, did I just make it rain!?!?!?!

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  22. I broke 150 lbs today!!!!

150 lbs has been my wall for the past 15 years.  I've dieted down to the low 150s 3 times only to regain what I lost and more.

I am now officially 149.7 lbs as of this morning.  Yay me!

  23. Tomorrow is surgery day...  I'm not sure if I'm nervous, anxious, excited or a little bit of all three.  I honestly thought I would be freaking out at this point, but I'm much calmer than that.  I suppose the last 7 months of preparation both physically and mentally has brought me some peace.  I say this now, but when I try to sleep tonight, that may be a different story.

I appreciate everything I've read on this forum that has helped me to prepare as much as possible.  I know this part of my journey may not be the same as someone else's, but having a good frame of reference helps a ton.

The most exciting and most difficult part of the journey begins tomorrow...

  24. it took me a long time to grow my hair back after all the surgery hair loss. Hairdresser screwed up my Hair, Now It’s way too short and I just want to cry. It will grow back. But damn. I'm in a pitty party.
