  1. My man says that having the VSG surgery is cheating with weight loss. I am down 60 pounds since 10/11/17. He does not understand that VSG is only a tool. I get so frustrated trying to defend my reasoning for the surgery. How is everyone else handling this?

  2. IMG_2496.thumb.JPG.b64c32fe6491ae0127b0eeb46ba7f474.JPG I wanted to share this with my April/May Sleevers!! I’m hoping I can find them in my local Sam’s Club since they are so new! Definitely something to consider on our liquid diets. Some new flavors and variety could be a good thing! I like options lol. As soon as I get a box I will do a review on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoDS8UYKi9Wu1__0j9qJ8rA I already have my favorites so it would be nice to add more to the list #GoGetYouSome

Your link doesn’t work.....,where did you get the new flavors? I searched everywhere

  3. I go through some weird phases where one day I can get a portion down no problem, then the next day the same size portion would make me feel miserable. I'm a year out now and chicken still will get me from time to time like no other meat does. Haven't been able to figure out any rhym or reason to it. All I can guess is that I didn't chew a few bites well enough, or took a few bites too quickly. For instance, if I was eating a hunk of chicken I wouldn't be able to eat a whole one. However if I took that same size chicken breast and shredded it into chicken salad I could probably get it all down.
Most of us get burnt out on Protein Shakes but try to keep them worked into your diet to hit your daily goals. At least until you can your Protein in directly from food sources. My doc used to get "mad" at me for telling him I was eating 3 meals a day plus 2-3 "snacks", but those Snacks were good Protein sources. There was no way in hell I could get all my protein in from eating in the course of 3 meals. I had no choice but to have a Protein Shake as a fourth meal or a random Greek yogurt to hit my goals.

Exactly....there is no way to hit protein amounts with just a little 2 or 3 oz of food. Your right...I’m going to make it my business to have a shake first thing every morning so I know I got at least 30g in early. Thanks for the advice

  4. Hello Missytee,
Believe me it gets better. Hang in there and try not to stress yourself out. In the beginning it'll be a struggle to meet the Protein and Water goal. Focus on getting drinking your Water and Protein daily. In due time you will be able to increase your meal intake. I had VSG surgery on 7/26/17, and I experienced the same thing. I'm just begining to eat about 2 to 3 oz of protein with 1/2 cup of veggies. You're doing great by staying on top of your Vitamins. I never had a problem with low energy...I'm just lazy when it comes to exercise, LOL. Keep pushing your way through, it truly gets better. Good luck on your new and exciting lifestyle journey and congrats to you on your progress.

    Thanks so much

  5. Hello all,

I am 3 months post-op. I had VSG surgery on 10-11-2017....my highest weight was 330 SW 295 CW 259 GW 165....Now, I am getting frustrated because I can't eat over 2 oz per meal. Last month I was able to eat a little more, but now I can't. It's hard getting in 60gms of Protein in per day. I can't even get 50 oz of Water down. In some aspects, I'm glad I can't get much down, but my concern is loss of muscle and hair. I take all my vitamins; muti, B complex, fish oil, Calcium, and Iron. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have no energy to work out now. I was going to the gym 3 days a week and walking the other days...Now, in the past 2 weeks nothing [emoji30][emoji30][emoji30][emoji30]

That’s great.....I was sleeved on 10/11 and so far I’m down 25 pounds. Also, with the genopro you may want to do some research. If you look at the nutrition label for Protein, you will see two dots. I asked my nutritionist and she said it means that there is only half so only about 15 grams per scoop. Let me know what you find out
